STRONGBACK 2.0 Elite Camping Chair, One Size, Camo

When I knew I was going camping over Cinco de Mayo weekend, I knew I was going to need a supportive camp chair, due to slipping a disc some time this past year. I did my research and came upon this beaut! And I’m obsessed! I came with intent to write this review because I needed to let people know how pleased I am with this chair.First of all, the camo pattern drew me in, as it was different than your typical camp chair color. Super cute. Next, I read a bunch of reviews and got the consensus that the chair works well to support posture, so I decided to try it. I ordered both the Elite and the Guru; being 5’4, I didn’t know if I was considered small enough or large enough for either chair. I ended up needing to pay one day shipping on the Guru to ensure that it would get to me before my trip.Well it never did, because although the Elite was left on my doorstep, the Guru needed to be signed for upon delivery, and I was at work all day. I was pretty bummed at this point because I assumed that I was too short for the Elite and that I had bought this chair for nothing. I decided to bring it anyways and return the Guru, which I received a full refund for, including shipping.The Elite ended up being one of the best Amazon purchases I’ve ever made! It was supportive to my back, and I was comfortable in any position I sat in as I curled up with my book for hours by day and roasted marshmallows around the campfire by night. The chair did not feel too big for me at all! In fact, I liked the higher back because it offered slightly more head/neck support on my shorter frame. It didn’t feel too wide, but I do have a bit of a wide ass. So there’s that.My only gripe, albeit a teeny weeny gripe, is that it just felt a little rickety, as if I could break the chair at any moment. That feeling may have been ingrained in my head due to the numerous reviews I read claiming that parts broke and things snapped. The chair doesn’t exactly feel sturdy, but it did its job and held up nice for the two days I used it. I’ll report back if something does break!All in all, I would recommend this chair to anyone who has back pain in typical camp chairs (or in general). I would buy it again and I’m going to recommend it to my fam and friends. It’s that serious folks.

I purchased this chair to watch my grandchildren’s softball and baseball games as well as camping. I’ve used the inexpensive chairs without support and couldn’t get up out of them without the help of my husband and son. My hips and knees are not in good shape.After using this chair for 3 weeks, I have been able to sit and get up without the help of others.The chair has a back support that is very helpful for getting in and out of the chair. It is high enough for me to stand up on my own. There is a cup holder on the side of the arm rests for beverages. The arm rests are comfortable. The chair is very sturdy.It opens and closes easily. The storage bag could be a little bigger.The only issue is the chair’s weight. It’s a little heavy.But other than the weight, I would purchase this chair again. Yes, I agree with another poster, if I get out of the chair, someone will quickly sit in it. It’s that comfortable.

We love these chairs. We have had them for a couple of years and taken them camping throughout the western US. They are great and super dependable. I did have one chair that began fraying after 2.5 years. They still honored the warranty and replaced it no problem. Outstanding purchase.

These are very very good chairs. My 76 year old dad expresses a strong preference for them. We have two other variants of folding chair and this one clearly is the most comfortable for heavier folks. It is very sturdy. But, one of the other chairs has its backpack integrated into the chair which includes a sunshade for the beach. In many ways this is more convenient which a similar, definitely not superior, comfort. It’s a little bulkier to put away and a little heavier. We are definitely not sad that we bought these, give them a solid recommend. If weight or ease of folding and putting away Into a separate bag are issues for you, then perhaps consider alternative chair. But you definitely won’t be mad about this purchase. These will definitively make people a little jealous. They will for sure notice the difference from a regular folding chair.

I use this daily on my porch I'm plus sized and weigh 280lbs. It's extremely comfortable, more so then any other chair I've ever sat in with the acception of my lazyboy recliner. Most folding chairs seem to bend or break after a while under my weight this is still in perfect condition. Only issue are the feet on the bottom of each chair leg. Sometimes they don't lie flat so I have ave to check them each time I sit down so they don't break. If they fixed that issue with the feet, which is not a deal breaker for me, this would be the perfect chair. I only wish the company would make better looking outdoor furniture with the same back support technology as well.2021 update! This chair is still going strong, I use it every day during the summer, I never leave it outside in the rain and its under a roof so the sun doesn't damage it. Could not be happier with this chair. Very sturdy when cared for.2023 Update!I use this chair daily in the summertime often for many hours everyday. Its faded only slightly but still looks almost brand new. Its under a roof but I no longer bring it in during bad weather. I bought a second one for my father. So I've had these chairs for over 3 years now and they still look almost like new even with daily use. The materials has stood the test of time. Nothing on it has broken, the materials have not torn or frayed. Highly recommend.

Without question, this is the best camping chair in the world. The back support that this gives s truly outstanding. I could never ever go back to other camping chairs after this one. Also talking about the quality. This chair is so well made and will last a very very long time. I would not be surprised to see it last 50 years. This chair is the best in the world without a doubt.

It took an extra week for us to receive this chair. I was tempted to cancel. Howeverr on that day, it arrived. It is a very comforatble chair to sit in and relax. My husband has back problems and using during our 10 day camping trip, he was very comfortable. It is expensive, but worth it!

Love this chair. My kids bought one for my husband years ago and I finally decided to get one for myself. Quite a bit more expensive than when he got his. The price is the only problem with this chair. They're comfy and sturdy.

Very sturdy - best support I have found in a folding chair.

I had one of these gifted to me years ago - when we moved, I let it go at the garage sale and regretted it ever since. I am tall and heavy and have suffered from lower back problems, and this chair makes a big difference. I am happy with it, good to have one again.
