Look great, a little tight on 2.125 width
I'm lucky to have a source of rough cut 2x4's and these make them look great. These went into the framing of an attached greenhouse both where the roof attaches to the building and on the bottom of the vertical wall. I'm isolating the bottoms of the studs from the soil and fertilizer using these brackets. My theory is that the studs will be more resilient than IF they were sitting in water, soil, fertilizer. Only time will tell but they look good too. I used a bunch of OWT decorative brackets so the inside of the greenhouse is very post-beam style.

Not for standard 2x4's
Apparently, "2x4 Rough" means a full 2" wide, not a standard 2x4 (1.5x3.5). Not wanting to return because they are otherwise good quality, I cut a 1/2" shim to fill the space. My application is a 10ft tall pergola, so most people will not notice.
