I had read a study where participants were given nigella sativa powder capsules and it improved cholesterol and BMI. I wanted to use the same form used in the study, so I got these powdered capsules. I don't know if it's placebo effect, but I when I forgot to take them for a few days I felt kind of sluggish. They seem to give me energy and put me in a better mood/be less anxious. This isn't the initial reason I started taking them, but it's great!

I love these they are bang for buck and exactly what I wanted. Most places sell the oil and I want just the powder in a capsule and this is my favorite so far because it has just that. Plus being a smaller business I would rather give them my money than a big business

I'm not sure why people are claiming this is not Black Cumin/Nigella Sativa. The color changes a bit when its ground (go ahead and grind the whole seed). I wanted the ground type for better absorption but wanted to avoid the oil which could be losing key compounds that contribute to the potential health benefits.While I didn't do any kind of scientific testing - the contents certainly tastes exactly like black cumin - and its not an expensive spice, so I really think it would be silly to fake it.
