Right after receiving it review by my husband: This dishwasher is amazing !!! So quiet and cleans so well !! Amazing quality (made in Germany) and it looks like a million dollars !!3/19 wife’s real life review: paid over $1000 for a dishwasher to clean my dishes “really well” but is the smell worth it? Smell has been there since day 1. Can’t return it to Germany so I’ll suffer in silence bc my husband thinks it looks great & it’s supposedly a great brand. We’ve done a lot of research since owning this & there are dishwasher refreshers(made by Miele cause they know their sh** stinks)you can buy to make the smell dissipate. I know it’s a quality dishwasher that will outlast anything on the market today but if you’re sensitive to smells then this is not the dishwasher for you. If I could I would get my money back and buy something else bc the smell is embarrassing. Once dishes are out of the dishwasher & put away for a while then the smell weakens but sticks to plastic longer than glassware. Wish the door would be able to prop open to air out while not in use, it just falls all the way open & I like to leave it open all the time. Smells like something’s molding in there. We throw bleach in every cycle to no avail. I don’t remember what it’s like to not have stinky dishes....

I wanted to wait until I used my dishwasher for a while so my review would be accurate. It is now about 5 years. Never needed repaired. Always gets my dishes clean. No problem loading as I have read others say. My plates are thick stoneware. So quiet that guests don't even realize it is on until the water drains. I have always used Miele products. The dealer told me to cut my soap cakes in half. We have done this since the beginning. Still clean dishes. The stainless steel cleans up beautifully even after all these years. We do not eat out much, and cook from scratch so it gets lots of use. It is still super quiet after all this time. We have well water which is horribly hard. We do not use a water softener tank. The built in water softener is great! We went through dishwashers almost every year. Bosh, etc. That is why we tried Miele and have never been sorry. I bought from our dealer as Amazon could not ship to us. My model was not quite this and I paid a bit more. But I would recommend this brand highly. I will be getting a new vacuum in the near future and plan to buy their brand. Get the cutlery tray it is great.
