'Bertrand de Lussac' Black Leather Sheath for Opinel No7 & No8 Knives

Really liked the tight stitching and overall great workmanship.

Thick, not flimsy, and nicely finished.

These sheaths work well enough for what they are intended for. They are not "high-end" leather, but I like them well enough. I would recommend them.

This is an excellent sheath. And definitely real leather.In the first photo it’s shown with an Opinel #10 knife.In the second picture with Opinel #8.For the #10 (which the manufacturer doesn’t list for this particular sheath) I used some ethyl alcohol to stretch the leather, although it would fit OK even without this step. I wrapped the knife in plastic shrink wrap foil and applied ethyl alcohol to the inside of the sheath. It takes a few hours to dry after you insert the knife into the sheath. Alcohol is known to stretch leather fibers.BTW, Opinel knives look especially amazing when the wood is refinished, and only some Carnauba wax or beeswax is applied at the end of the process. You’d need to use various sandpaper grits, finishing with at least 800 grit or higher. You’ll need to mask off the blade and stainless steel ring with some painters tape and cotton padding. It’s safe for the knife and for the artisan :-) to do if you do it right.

Have been using this for a few weeks. There is barely any noticeable wear. Looks like it will last some years. I also use it for my aa / aaa flashlights, pens.

Great buy!! Sold out fast though, fits my EDC Opinel perfect! Glad I found these!!

This product is lot real leather it is Pleather / fake leather. Don't waste your time or money.
