Great w Chinese Brushcutter
I have a Coochrane Brushcutter (also purchased off Amazon). I was worried that maybe the SMALLER sized trimmer head that Shindaiwa makes would be best.. ☝NO COMPLAINTS WITH THIS -- its quick and I get my lawn work done without playing around with STRINGING 👍

Superior improvement to a trimmer
I have a commercial Honda gas string (and blade) trimmer with the OEM string head. That head was frustrating and nearly useless. It was so bad that the trimmer spent most of it's life in storage. After switching to this head, the thing is a joy to use. The bump and go works flawlessly and the ability to use fairly large diameter line means I can go a long time between rewinds--and rewinding is so fast and easy that I don't mind anyway. One of the best "upgrades" I've ever done to my yard equipment.

So far so good
Rebuilt 2 Shindaiwas a C-270 and a C270. Essentially the exact same trimmers but the U handles are slightly different. We've had them for 30 yrs and still run great. After rebuilding the engines I figured I'd go ahead and buy new heads. Wasn't sure I'd like these or if they could handle the hard use and terrain. So far I have to say they have worked great. I bought the 400 and the 450 and have to be honest I prefer the smaller 400. My trimmers are 27cc and can handle the 450 but I'd rather use the 400. If I was using a cutter over 35cc then I'd have to go in favor of the 450.

Replace line without disassembly!
I first bought this trimmer head many years ago to replace the OEM Stihl trimmer head that I had worn out, and became a fan right away. Have worn out several of these now (I have 800 fence posts to trim around) and won’t use any other. Just as durable as the OEM and trimmer line replacement is simple, without having to disassemble the head. Comes with adaptors to fit a variety of trimmers.

Does not fit a Stihl 131 R
Previously I had purchased their smaller head, which came with adapter bushings that fit my Stihl 70. So I bought this larger head for my larger Stihl 131 R. I thought it would come with adapter bushing like the smaller head, but it did not -- just a few different sized studs. Why no bushings? Why? A complete waste of money for me.
