The Rockville APM10B is a 10" powered studio subwoofer delivering 400W peak (150W RMS) through a 2-way passive design with a 10" woofer and three piezo tweeters. Built with a rugged MDF enclosure, steel grille, and corner guards, it’s designed for durability and portability at just 22 lbs with recessed handles. We are proud to introduce to you the Rockville RSG series of speakers. These are affordable speakers with high-end performance; specially built for DJ's as well as professional audio applications. After conducting strategic market research, Rockville is proud to bring you this new line of speakers that were engineered to combine incredible power handling, superior sound and unbelievable build quality. The goal was to create a line of passive DJ speakers that were double as good as the competition but cost half as much. The Rockville RSG-10 speaker system features a high quality 10" low frequency woofer with three electronic, high-efficiency piezo bullet tweeters that provide a true full-range of sound. This speaker produces an incredible amount of power. 400 Watts peak, 200 Watts Program Power, and 150 Watts RMS Power. With 60 Oz magnets, you can be sure these speakers will produce the power you expect out of them. Constructed using thicker than standard, high-quality, high-density materials our cabinets are strong and rigid yet light weight enough to make travel and set-up a breeze. Built-in ergonomic, recessed handles give these speakers additional carrying ease, for all you DJ's who travel from party to party. The sturdy custom-molded steel grill protects the drivers combined with steel corner protectors, pre-mounted rubber isolating feet and durable, aviation grade black carpet make our speaker cabinets tough enough to withstand every day abuse. Engineered from the ground up, the tapered trapezoidal shape, produces wide, clear sound dispersion that will reproduce your program source materials loudly, with accuracy and musical transparency. Multiple inputs, typically found on high-end speakers are standard equipment on the Rockville RSG-10. Two input connectors, ¼” IN/OUT and speakON connection make the Rockville RSG-10 able to integrate in to any existing amplification system. Additional installation flexibility is available via the reinforced, built-in 35mm pole socket mount located on the underside of the cabinet. The are easy to carry, and a good size. . Just an update. After several uses the Speakon connector is not working properly. 1/4 TS inputs work fine so not a problem. I suspect the problem is a combination of the cheaper cables, and that the connection on the speaker seems to have a lot of play in it. I'm not changing my review. Because they are still fine for what I am using them fore and I have a ton load of 1/4 TS cables.

**Q: What else do I need for this speaker to plug the wire's in for it to work?**
A: It's passive so you have to have an amp to power it (a how AVR will also work. You can either use Speakon/HPC connectors or banana plugs for the cables.

**Q: Can it be hook up to my DJ controller**
A: Yes, these are passive speakers so you’ll have to go through a powered mixer

**Q: Will these speakers work with a rogue prm 806 powered mixer?**
A: Should work with any powered mixer at the same ohms. Never heard of the rogue prm 806.
Rockville makes a great 8 channel powered mixer that is very affordable. 2400 watts

**Q: I purchased the rockville 8 inch. when getting the mic to close to the i phone i hear a nose ? the blue cap on the bottom of the mic is it to be remov**
A: Any mic that goes near a speaker will automatically hummer. Its the madnets.  You cannot be close to a speaker when using a mic

These seem sturdy and well built and for the price are an excellent speaker. No you won't want to run a large system using them, but that's not what they are for. The are easy to carry, and a good size. . Just an update. After several uses the Speakon connector is not working properly. 1/4 TS inputs work fine so not a problem. I suspect the problem is a combination of the cheaper cables, and that the connection on the speaker seems to have a lot of play in it. I'm not changing my review. Because they are still fine for what I am using them fore and I have a ton load of 1/4 TS cables.

I am using this speaker for studio use so that I can hear the instruments at a lower volume and the bass is not too hard for the blending of the drums and bass for a easy flow.
