I appreciated the history of the Moravian Church and the Bible references listed throughout the book. I also liked reading about the answered prayers and the determination many people have to do their part in 24/7 prayer groups.However, I found it difficult to remember who all the people were and to keep up with all the traveling the author did throughout the book. I kept checking to see what percentage of the book I had finished. There was quite a bit of reading material after the book itself ended.

One of the most important books written in the last 15 years. Easy to read and relate to. Full of practical wisdom and inspiration. If you are dry your thirst will be quenched. If you are satisfied you'll find that there is more. See for yourself.

This is a living story. You might start reading to find out more. You'll end up simply wanting more. More of God in your everyday life. And wondering what your part in this story is. Because at its heart, this is actually just a few chapters in THE greatest love story. And the book is not finished yet. What are you and I going to write next? (Gosh, I'm wrecked for the ordinary now!)

Great book... I had heard a lot about it in the past and recently had the opportunity to hear the author speak in person. Hearing his heart and passion for people made me want to hear more of his story and this book delivered.

A must read for people who pray! As a prayer missionary it really encouraged me to keep going! What an amazing story!

Red Moon Rising is an inspirational read ..... fascinating to hear the founding of this movement, the stories, the Holy Spirit's involvement, the growth and the progression. Read this book to become inspired and refreshed in your own prayer life!

I have read both editions of this book and I highly, highly recommend it. So many wonderful, encouraging stories of God at work and the power of prayer.

I read this book in the wrong order i.e. after "Dirty Glory". This book explains some things that are just assumed in Dirty Glory and is full of amazing stories of God at work. There is a slight problem. with the style: the narrative sometimes wanders off onto something else in the middle of a story then wanders back a bit later.

This is an amazing story of the power of prayer through the often bewildered eyes of 24-7s founder Pete Greig. It blew me away to read some of this stuff and how it all links back down the ages through the Moravians and others.I would recommend this to anyone thinking about how Prayer makes a difference and wondering what sort of adventure it God could take you on if you just tried to sit down for a chat.

An inspirational book that has brought to birth in many a fresh hunger for the kind of Christianity that is deeply authentic - where we see the very real needs of our world, and are compelled to turn to God, who is more than able to help - and we find Him turning us back outwards to carry His kindness into this world, even though we feel more than a little broken and inadequate.

Brilliant book. Our housegroupis reading a chapter a week and doing the biblestudy from the newest edition.Blown away by the account of the prayer before the fall of the Berlin wall.

This book is so inspiring. Pete tells a brilliantly humble and honest account of how he "accidentally" set up 24/7 prayer. Its really a story of God working through ordinary people in miraculous ways.
