We Both Read-My Sitter Is a T-Rex

We love all of the We Both Read books, but my daughter especially loves this title because of her current interest in dinosaurs. This story begins when the parents leave a young boy home for the evening with a T-Rex for a babysitter. The relationship between the two gets off to a rocky start, but despite their differences, the young boy learns to empathize with the difficulties associated with being a ginormous dino. If you haven't experienced a We Both Read book before, you should definitely look into the series. It allows parents and children the opportunity to read together by taking turns with the narrative; the adult page is intended to be read by the parent while the child page is written at the reading level indicated on the front of the book. Further, key vocabulary words used on the child side are often first used on the adult side and bolded so the adult can point them out, making the reading process interactive and educational.

It's a cute story about not judging people by their appearance. I like the format having a page for me to read then an easier one for my child.
