Will this machine work well with frozen fruit? What about ice cubes?

It definitely slows down significantly with hard frozen peaches, mangoes, strawberries, etc. I have to take the bottle off, shake it and then run it again. It really isn't up to the task for frozen smoothies.

My son took it to college to make smoothies. I think it would work for baby food.
