Actually, upon further research , I found that they are made in CHINA. I shan't be buying anymore Dr. How's products ,accordingly. I don't do China anything if I have a choice and know better. I now know better. Thanks for posing the question. The advertising for my tea kettle implies American 'made' , but it's just American sold, evidently.

It has not discolored on a wood stove

Q: Is the Screw holding the lid handle made from stainless steel rust resistant?? I had one that rusted so bad before thats why I'm replacing it.

I have this pot. you cannot see the screw that attaches the lid handle. I couldn't begin to tell you how it's attached, but there is no visible screw. I have the kettle and like it. It doesn't like to be filled to capacity, though; and sometimes, it POPs like it's actually trying to blow its top.
