Good SmileGarden of Sinners: Shiki Ryougi Garannodou PVC Figure (1:7 Scale)

Nice figure that's reasonably priced! Shipping was very fast from Japan. One thing I'm not too crazy about is that the figure is a bit wobbly. The two pegs that come out of the base go inside her left foot which she is also slightly leaning into. Her other foot is unsupported. I made sure and the pegs are fully clicked in. Probably won't matter to you unless you have her on a desk like I do.

The company who developed this figure should be highly commended for its quality and design. This gives off an uncanny ' life-presence ' of its own, by the figure unique stance, the realistic flow of her kimono, the child-like expression on her face and the holding of her specialized samurai sword! As a novice to collecting figures, one sometimes believes that each figure has a style of its own. And Ryogi definitely had her own sense of personality. She projects this ghost-like effect and being deadly, at the same time can be a great turn on. Ryogi stance is ideal for this figure, because you may truly believe, that she will move. Her kimono is by far, the most unique feature of the figure, because the craftsmanship was supreme in the inlaid formal designs throughout specific areas of the kimono. The very flow of the kimono---gives the collector a sense of form and balance. Ryogi facial expression is great, but I would added more realistic tones to her face and definitely added more pink to the lips. Her holding the sword is fantastic. The designers should have included a realistic forged heat to the swords edge and maybe added either her family name, in Japanese or rope hanging from the swords handle. The overall figure anatomically is good, but more color to her toes and fingernails. Perhaps adding a gloss-like shine to her eyes would made this, even more real to the eyes. There is no floral- patterns on her shelves and only register on outside of kimono flaps. Continuity to form should follow throughout this figure alone. I believe any collector, beginner or expert, should included this figure, as a part of their collection.

The figure arrived today, took several weeks to get here from Japan. I had wanted this figure for a long time. It was a rare buy to find it for a reasonable price. Good Smile Company reissued the figure as a 10 anniversary edition. I've never seen the original, just pictures. The figure is on par size wise for other 1/7 Good Smile figures that I have. The figure was well packaged and the box was in mint condition. The figure inside the box is stunningly detailed. It looks exactly like Ryogi Shiki. Her outfit is very detailed with no flaws that I can see. She also comes with a katana that is very nicely detailed. On the back of the box is the Hobby Japan sticker, so this is the real deal. Purchased from Supply Japan, and also received a hand written thank you note.

On the figure, you will notice the belt with a flower sort of pattern on it. What you can't see is that same pattern in white is over most of the kimona. Over her left breast, there is a very detailed flower image. I have 15 pieces in my collection, some of them quite expensive, and I have not seen anything like this. On the belt itself, you would assume it is actually cloth because the detail is beyond hand painting, but it is plastic. I have no idea how they managed to make this. Would love to see it on that "How it's made" show. In short, this is a worthy piece in anyones collection.

This was an impulse buy, I've always wanted some sort of statue/figurine to decorate the shelf above my desk and this one caught my eye so I bought it. It's almost perfect, except in my case I find the sword a little too long (like 2mm), so that the sword sticks a little onto the shelf but it's not that bad.. besides, the sword is removable and I always liked the reverse sword stance better, the one were you hold the sword in reverse so the blade is aligned up along the forearm like a Tonfa or if you like computer games then think Galen/Starkiller in the Force Unleashed series :)It arrived ahead of schedule and the build quality of the figure is excellent, I haven't noticed any faults. The handwritten thanks on the invoice was a nice touch, it makes the transaction a little more personal :)

Arrived in good condition, including the box. No problems.

Beautiful figurine of Ryougi Shiki from Garden of Sinners. Now all I need is one of Shiki or SHIKI! (See anime).Good price and good quality, even though her pink kimono is more faded on mine.Her katana is very nicely detailed and she is more elegantly Japanese here than in her usual work attire!
