The rookie competition is one of the most highly anticipated spectacles of the Nine School Competition and a chance for freshman athletes to shine. First High's beloved Miyuki Shiba takes center stage during these matches to give a beautifully elegant performance. Her brother, Tatsuya, doesn't have a moment to waste as he works around the clock as part of the engineering team, relaxing only when he gets a chance to admire his sister from behind the scenes. But after his teammates fall prey to a horrific accident, Tatsuya is suddenly thrust into the spotlight and set on a direct collision course with the Crimson Price, Masaki Ichijou! Review: Amazing - Best series ever Review: Great conclusion. - This volume marks a great finale for the Nine School Competition arc. Again the author does a great job describing the magical competition. The characters keeps evolving and more details are added to their backgrounds. Some interesting twist and new plots are added which keeps the reader interested from beginning to end.

Fun entertainring read
Part 2 of the Nine School Competition arc. See my review of volume 3. Very fun read and together with volume 3 a solid addition to the series.

Good story but mediocre translation
Addicting storyline and characters. While overall readability isn't bad, errors sometimes interrupt the flow. Some errors show a lack of proof reading (name swapping Miyuki, Mizuki, and Mayumi or Tatsuya and Masaki). A rather irksome translation choice was renaming Gram Demolition to Program Demolition when the Japanese text uses the English word. There's still the quirk of the lack of Onii-sama-ness which sometimes makes it difficult to determine if Miyuki is the speaking character. If only I knew Japanese enough to read the original text... Side Note: don't order this book alone. Combine it with a big but lightweight object so Amazon has to ship in a box. Every time I've ordered this series the spines have been somewhat crushed/damaged while being in an envelope or a box with a heavy object.

Received what I expected.
For the book itself: Received and it was in perfect condition. The books are decent quality. For the content: I enjoyed reading it. I'm assuming that if you're looking into Vol. 4 you probably already know what the series is about.

I love this.
It gives a more involved viewpoint of the story. The anime can only say so much but the novel can give me an in depth telling of the thinking behind the parts of the story. I love this.
