Our cats have enjoyed this WOPET Boost Automatic Pet Feeder (F08). It works well, especially considering the affordable price, I highly recommend it. Our main concern involves relying on D batteries. Also, be careful with the plastic top's latch, it can break.Usage: We have used it for baseline use for giving them midnight and early morning food while we are in town. If we are out of town for a weekend, we change the portions and meal times so that we have peace of mind knowing the cats are well-fed it to replace all meals (I recommend 4 staggered meals, on portion level 3, per feeder, per cat. For example for us, 4 meals x 3 portions/meal works well and we have 2 of these feeders and 2 cats).Battery concern: Since we want to avoid power cords the cats could chew on, we rely on D batteries. However, I have noticed a concern, which is that the battery meter on the feeder's display will always show full (3/3) on the bar, even when the D batteries have clearly been mostly drained off. Caution should be taken: either use a voltmeter on your batteries, or observe the food dispensing before you leave. The noise won't sound the same as normal, the inner wheel mechanism won't turn as well, and not as much food comes out. We have found that the batteries last about ~6 months (baseline small night/morning feedings, and periodic heavy feedings when out of town once every couple of months), and should be replaced after that.Latch for the top of the feeder: The cap/lid definitely snaps in and locks well. However, it is not the most versatile plastic, and if you are too forceful with the latch it will snap and break. To open it when refilling food, try to only gently press in the latch, while using your other fingers to lift the cap from the side edges. Our cap latch broke, and I messaged the seller (PetXing Technology Co. Limited) and they sent us a replacement for free.

A great size and design for my one cat. Very reliable, dispenses when I wanted it to (twice a day twelve hours apart) every time. My kitty even knows the sound of the recording and runs for food! The set up is slightly confusing, so don’t throw away the direction booklet because you’ll want to reference it if needed later. Other than that, it’s a fantastic feeder at a great price!

Overall it's a great product and it keeps things simple. Only had it for 3 wks about and so far so good! I have a 5yr & 8mth old cat. I set it for 3 meals 1 at 6 portions 2nd at 6 and 3rd at 9. I filled it to the brim and it lasted both of the cats 16 days. I just washed it and refilled it and this time I set it to 2 meals per day 12 hours apart at 9 portions each. I want to see have this works out for them. So far no problems with the machine but like I said I only had it for 3 weeks. I would recommend this feeder...especially if you leave for a week or so.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Stopped working after 2 months. Now its blinking RED and wont do anything.Motor is too weak. It wont spin when the bin is full. If I fill it 50%, it barely spins and dispenses 6 kibbles for one portion. Max portion is 9, and that wont be enough to feed my dog.I contacted customer service, they asked me to send a video and picture (attached). They came back saying my food size is too big and I need to switch to something smaller.I think it will work great for cats and small dogs, not for medium or large dogs.

Updating my review from one start to two. First one of these we got was the total piece of garbage, and just dispensed food randomly throughout the day. Couldn’t even keep time.Got a second one that has been somewhat reliable with minor time drift.Been using it for about a year and a half With no issues. However, the little tab on the lid has broken. Luckily, my cat isn’t naughty enough/smart enough to take advantage of that. I have patched it up with some JB weld for now, but It’s harder to open, because the epoxy is so darn hard but it’s a high Stress part so it needs a robust repair.Going to reach out to the manufacturer and see if they will provide a replacement lid. Pretty sure they will try to say it out of warranty, But I will give them a chance and report back.Another thing Of note: There’s some kind of compartment on the underside of the lid. I don’t know if it’s for moisture absorber or what. Don’t mention the listing, and don’t include anything in the packaging. Pretty sloppy in my opinion.But again, you get what you pay for. And they say, if you buy cheap, you buy twice. This one’s cheap enough to buy two and still Spend as much or less than a good one. So if you don’t mind filling your local landfill with extra junk, it’s pretty solid option.Also, pro tip: Make a point to check or change the batteries every year or so. They will leak and fail, and he won’t know until a real emergency happens where the cord power fails, and your pet starves without you knowing.

I use this to feed some stray feral cats and it works FANTASTIC, even in the cold. When the raccoons found it, they reached up inside and destroyed the propeller mechanism on the inside. I contacted customer support and they were able to ship me the parts I needed very inexpensively. I have since "raccoon proofed" the feeder by building a box around it and letting the food drop to a separate plate.

Food gets stuck even when using small bites. Motor is weak and the rotator part is soft rubber. Not sure why it doesn’t work. You’ll know it didn’t dispense and is stuck because there’s a red light.

Timer option for one feed a day for a year (my cat gets dry food in the morning) - has reliably done this without fault.Any issues to date have been the fault of the owner rather than the unit itself :-)
