Great quality, exactly as described
The product is exactly as described. The triact lock feels sturdy and secure. It has a very strong and firm tension to the gate, and it closes on its own very firmly if you simply let go. When locked, the gate has minimal movement including wiggling side to side which gives confidence in the build quality. The size is quite small (intentionally). While this is good for weight, it also makes it slightly more annoying to take a Grigri on and off compared to a larger carabineer. This is not the fault of this specific product, rather just a quirk of having a smaller carabineer. The asymetric D shape noticably helps keep the Grigri on the correct spot of the carabineer when slack is introduced, especially when compared to larger HMS carabineers.

Petzl Triple-Action Carabiners
Just as I was expecting. The price may have been a bit high? Or maybe I am wrong about this. They are NOT knockoffs so I am pleased about that. Exactly what I was searching for. My local rock shop was out, and had been out for a while, so I was happy to find them here.

a beautiful carabiner
This is a gorgeous carabiner. Easy to open with one hand. Seems strong enough to me!

This is half of a ridiculous keyring, and I love it!
I have a lot of keys, but I donโt need all of them every day. Of all the various sets of keys I have (โmyโ set of house and daily driver, split so I can get in the house while the car is warming up; โweekendโ set with fun car keys; Momโs house set; work set; friendโs camping property set), the work set came with a $1000.00 liability, to be deducted from my final paycheck, if I lose them. And of all the sets of keys I have, and have had, the only set lโve lost, in my entire life, is the Thousand Dollar set. Twice. Fortunately, some nice, anonymous customer at a Fazoliโs found them on the floor of the lobby and turned them over to the staff. They somehow slipped off of a standard carabiner when I clipped it onto my beltloop. Been carrying my keys on a โbiner since 1986. Never lost a key. Until 3 years ago, in a restaurant lobby. Dodged a bullet! I bought a new, proper carabiner after that. No more flimsy crap at the Wally World! Last summer, early in the morning, I arrived at work and found myself locked out. My work keys were laying in my front yard, about a foot from the edge of my driveway. They somehow slipped off of a load-rated technical carabiner when I unclipped it from my beltloop, to open my car. How many more of these bullets can I dodge? All my subsets of keys are now locked securely onto this Petzl carabiner. I can swap sets in and out quite easily, and know my keys are secure. The other half of the keyring I sometimes get teased about is a โnormalโ gear clip โbiner, which attaches the Petzl collection to my beltloop. I may not notice losing a single ring with 2 keys, but if this mass ever breaks free, Iโm likely to notice the weight difference! And the clunk. Possibly a broken pinkie toe. Not climbing related, but I quit having panic attacks! Pictured is my workday loadout of keys. Ridiculous! But cheaper than a Grand!

Does what it does
Nicely made and it locks. I haven't tested it to failure. Good way to secure objects to a backpack.

Ok, not great for ATC
Sturdy and well-made but a little small, itโs difficult to use with my ATC.

Functionally perfect
Performs more than admirably as my go-to carabiner at the climbing gym. Strong, vanishingly light, it has served very well as the 'brake' on my ABD for a large number of partner-falls, and lives unmarked to tell the tale of safety! The Tri-act lock gives me confidence that everything is secure, and cannot be unlocked without true effort. I will not detract a star because it takes a bit of effort to unlock this device... Instead, I view it as a welcome feature for a guy who came late to climbing and needs all the help he can get.

Great carabiner
The SMโd is one of my favorites. Great size and the tether option is externally convenient. This, with the triple action gate, is used as my dedicated locker when in guide mode on a top belay.

Apertura Complicata
Ottima fattura non si discute ma lo sblocco della ghiera verso l'alto rende difficile l'apertura con una sola mano e in montagna per una sosta potrebbe essere un problema
