Great for tonal charcoal drawing
I've been searching for a smooth toned paper for charcoal and chalk tonal work and this is the best I've found to date.Pros:- The papers are muted in color (not saturated) and have a tonal value ranging between 4.5 and 5.5 (black=1, white=10).- The surface is smooth, no deep texture or inlay. It's a little rougher than smooth newsprint.- The paper color is uniform and there are no colored threads in the surface , like the Strathmore grey and tan tonal papers (the threads annoys me).- The paper weight is good at 85lb, not too thin, not too thick.Cons:- I'm not sure if this is acid free.- The paper size is a little small, I which they made at least a 9" x 12" size, or larger.Overall, I highly recommend this paper for charcoal and chalk tone drawing.

beautiful paper
Love the colors of this paper. Compared to Strathmore, the weight of the paper is slightly less, but still thick enough. It's generally smooth with less tooth, not quite a hot press. Has enough texture for pencils, but not as much as typical pastel paper.

Seems good!
It seems to be quality merchandise but I have not used it yet. Seems to be thick enough and I love the colors.

Papelsino gray & tan
The paper is heavier weight than my other sketch pads but not as heavy as what I would want to use for a finished project. I can see myself using them for greeting cards as the weight feels similar to card stock paper. The photo is of a quick first pass. The paper feels smooth to my hand but you can see, especially in the white area, that there is some tooth to it and it will be able to take several layers. I used CretaColor Oil Pencils which have a “scratchy smooth” texture - somewhere between a charcoal pencil and a good quality coloring pencil.

Good quality paper
Make sure to see the size before buying- I had thought it was bigger in paper size but the paper is good quality.
