Best value I've found
I've bought and installed dozens of ceiling fans over the years for my various homes, rentals and family members. I've spent as much as $600 on some but have never gone with the budget models under a hundred bucks. My priorities for a fan is it must move as much air as possible as quietly as possible with as little draft as possible. It is also mandatory that it be reversible. My new home (which isn't brand new) came with basic contractor grade fans in every room, which is great because all of the mounts and wiring are already in place. But the fans were ugly and noisy and used pull chains for the light and fan speed. And they were white, which only works for me on a few very unique decorator styles. My preference is satin nickel with either gray or black blades. I actually don't like built-in lights but newer fans have them so well integrated as part if the design lately I'm choosing fans with them for the practicality of being able to light up the entire room.Fans are subject to the laws of physics - the larger the blades and the faster they turn the more air they will move. But physics is a tricky thing. I have one fan with aerodynamic blades that moves more air when barely turning than some fans on full speed. With a ceiling fan the blades are everything when it comes to efficiency. This one only has three blades but they are lightweight plastic and aerodynamically shaped so they move a lot of air almost totally silently. Plastic blades are not a bad thing, if they are made right they can be far more efficient than thin flat wood ones. Their lightness puts less of a load on the motor as well. I like that each blade is securely attached using 3 heavy duty bolts with locking washers, making them more safely attached than many other models I have owned.I like this model for other reasons too - it is packed with features for the price, like a three speed remote control, a remotely dimmable light, a timer and an easily accessible reverse switch (on the motor housing not the remote). Oddly it comes with two old-fashioned spiral CFL bulbs but you can replace those with standard dimmable LED or incandescent bulbs if you want to.I've sometimes heard concerns from some who are less technologically inclined about remote control fans that if they lose the controller they won't be able to operate the fan. Not true. Almost every ceiling fan is pre-wired to be used with a multi-speed wall switch and light dimmer. The remote is a small add-on accessory that stuffs into the cowling that connects to those wires. If you want to install the fan without the remote or convert it later simply remove the accessory adapter and you have a non-remote fan. Besides that, replacement controllers are available at all major hardware stores. This is the second Honeywell fan I've bought recently and I am pleased with the quality and value for the price. I would certainly choose them over a no-name brand. I think they are about as good as Hunter fans but not in the same league as Casablanca, which of course are much more expensive.Installation when replacing an existing unit is an easy 30 minute job, everything you need for a ceiling hugger, short hanging rod or sloped ceiling (except the bracket) is included and if you prefer a longer rod it is a standard diameter that's easily available at any hardware store. I offer one opinion on hiring a "professional" - they aren't always the best source of information, they want to sell you parts and labor and aren't above knocking products that are "customer supplied".If you are looking for a fan that can move large volumes of air this certainly is it, on high speed it is a turbo wind tunnel. And if you are looking for a fan that is totally silent while you sleep yet circulates air efficiently without a draft this is also it, at slow speed I can't hear it at all right over my bed and there is zero draft yet keeps me refreshingly cool. This model ticks all of the boxes and is surprisingly affordable. I recommend it.

Dangerous. Do not buy
DO NOT BUY this fan. It is incredibly dangerous. We purchased this fan and installed it. Yes correctly. After about 6 months we left the fan on one night about 2am we were awoken by a loud noise. Came down and one of the blades had flown off and smacked a whole in the wall. We have 2 cats who like to sit on the back of the couch could have easily killlednone of them. This item needs a recall

Best fan ever!
bought this fan in Aug and finally got it installed in Oct. Its worked good (maybe too good because it it very powerful) and we love the look, however, last night the interior mechanism came loose and started banging around. It was SO loud and shook the whole house! Terrible. After only 5 months of use. We now need a new fan and I am soooo bummed! We hired a professional to take it down and check it out and he said, "Its shot. You bought a lemon". I will try and contact the manufacturer for help. I’m just thankful the blades stayed intact and didn’t come off hitting my daughter in the bed!

Used to LOVE this fan! Not anymore!
Initial Review: Received this last week and finally got around to installing it. Installation was, for the most part, simple. I followed the instructions to the T and it took me about an hour to install. Fan works great and definitely moves a lot of air. I contemplated buying a fan without a remote because they're less expensive but I'm glad I chose this one. Price was great and having a remote was worth it! Everything works as it should and my dining room is so much cooler now. Would definitely recommend this fan.UPDATE: 8/30/20Gave this fan a great review at first. Should've updated my review much sooner but thought I could fix the issue. The light stopped working at about three months of use. Thought bulbs were bad, put new one's in. Still no lights. Thought I'd just do without the lights, then the fan started making a loud noise and wobble. I turned it off and let it sit for a day or two. I tried turning it on today and it wouldn't move. It powered on but something was not letting it move. I found a loose screw pinned between the light fixture and the fan. I fished it out but could not access where it fell out. So, I un-istalled it and just bought a new one. This fan was nice at first but did not last. Will not buy a Honeywell again.

Exciting fan! Will you make it throug the night?
If you want to play a nightly game of chicken with your ceiling fan, then this is the fan for you! Please note, blades snap off easily, typically in the middle of the night while you're sleeping. Maybe consider sleeping with a helmet, face shield, and maybe a samurai sword... ya know, in case you want to fight back.PS: Don't buy this fan. It looks nice, is an easy install, remote works fine, runs well, and is quiet, but the blades are garbage. The company sent us a full new set of blades after the first blade broke (in the middle of the night, if you didn't get that already). Another blade, this one from the new set, also just broke. This time I was simply wiping the dust from the side and it just snapped right off. The break was in the same location as the first that broke. Clearly faulty blades. Just don't buy it. Unless you're into sleeping with one eye open.

Super sleek looking fan! Very awesome
This fan is serious air mover. It’s super stable and easy to install. The manual might not been the easiest to read but I had no issue. I personally opted for flush mount for the sleek look and have already gotten numerous compliments at how modern it looks. The remote works flawlessly and comes with a few buttons: 3 different speed, turn off fan, and on/off light

Does not dim light as advertised
I bought two. First was oiled bronze. It worked as advertised including ability to dim the light. So ordered second, in brushed nickel for another room. Amazon page says it has dimming feature - but it came with CFL bulbs, which aren’t dimmable. So I replaced with dimmable LED’s and still no dimming function! Remote is exactly the same as the oiled bronze one, but if you press and hold to dim light, it just goes off. The dimming function was important to me, but don’t want to go through hassle of uninstalling, packaging and shipping back. Not happy.

Happy with it
Came with a different remote than advertised with no explanation to the extra side of buttons there. Had to find the instructions online and it dims now with the remote. Adding the internet instructions here in the images to hopefully help someone else.
