So far, we tried 3 yeast bread recipes that all have failed before with us. After using this, 2 of the recipes actually rose up and became bread this time! The other one still remained dense as a Biscuit. So, as bread amateurs, I call this product a win win! We have cleaned it twice. But, we cleaned it with machine wash cold and little detergent and dryer set on 30 Energy efficient. Still comes out great and ready to use. And it will make bread. Rather large but that's great cause we have a large plastic bread bowl from the 40/50s we got inherited. Covers that "punch bowl size" thing perfectly! A++++ highly recommend

I had one of these couches which i purchased 40 years ago from a kitchen store that no longer exists. Ir was much smaller, thinner and I think it was cotton. But it worked well for about 15 years or so. I loved it to death. This one is so superior. The fabric is much much thicker. It's huge compared to my old couche It's bigger than my Silpat pastry sheet which is no slouch in the size department. It easier to clean than my pastry sheet because you are not supposed to wash it - just keep flouring it. It's big enough to wrap a whole loaf. It's so sturdy, I'm going to leave it to someone in my will. In the meantime, my Christmas gift list just got filled up.

Works perfectly for my baguettes and French loaves. Heavy material is ideal for proofing.

Nice thick linen canvas. I dust it with rice flour, but it hardly needs it. I have mostly used it for bread dough that is about 80% hydration, and haven't had any issue with the dough wanting to stick to the cloth. I shake it out and hang it up to dry on the back porch, and when I want to store it, I have been folding it (completely dry) and storing in an open plastic gallon ziplock bag - not zipped shut! However, I want to make a way to store it rolled up instead of folded, for the longevity of the cloth, as I read that long-term, the folds can cause weak points in the fabric.

This works great and the dough proofs perfectly and never sticks to it during transfer. They say not to wash it and I don't and everything is fine.

Wide enough to handle very long Baguettes. 22 inch long if you want. The fabric is thick and plyable enough for professional use. Could not ask for better couche. Long enough to fit 6 to 8 full-size Baguettes.

Pricy but this is the Real Deal. Heavy linen. This is what you are looking for. Just dust to use, shake off to store. Best stored rolled, not folded.
