My husband and I discovered the wonders of cold brew and we have been wanting a cold brew system to satisfy our increased coffee cravings. This cold brew system is perfect! I received my order quickly and I was impressed with the care that the items were packaged. Everything was in perfect condition. The system includes everything you need and the process is easy to follow: you can drink the coffee in no time (12-24 hours). I like that it includes a growler so I can save the extra coffee while I make some more. All of the products are high quality, durable and clean-up is quick. The instructions were clear and it came with illustrations, which helps a visual learner like me. I visited the website and the illustrated instructions can be found there as well. It truly makes delicious, fresh coffee! The taste is smooth with none of the undesirable acidity or bitterness. I am very happy with this purchase. I highly recommend this system to all cold brew lovers!

TL;DR: sturdy and well-crafted, good bang for your buck, and filter the coffee one more time to maximize the flavor. This past spring I found that I was spend too much money on cold-brew coffee. My friend bought this coffee-maker and recommended it, so I gave it a try. The kit makes it very easy to make 32-36 ounces of cold-brew. You add the beans to a durable metal diffuser, plonk the diffuser into the brewer shaped like an 8th grade science beaker, and slowly pour water over the grounds until the brewer is full. The process can take as short as 2 minutes, or as long as 10, depending on how ornery your beans are feeling. After filling the glass container, jam it in the fridge for 24 hours, or keep it on the shelf for 12, and then your coffee's done. At first, I was a little underwhelmed with the coffee itself. The first few cups were great, but the last one came gratis with a fine dusting of silt that took a lot of my enjoyment out of the coffee. The silt persisted through various degrees of coarsely and finely ground beans. Then it occurred to me that I still had a whole box of filters left over from my pour-over days. I tried filtering my next batch by putting a funnel with a filter over the handy growler that comes with the kit. The difference is unbelievable. The extra 5 minutes it took to pour into the growler filtered out 100% of the silt, leaving me with a top-notch cold brew. I've now been using this coffee maker every week for almost 3.5 months, and it still produces wonderfully smooth and full cold-brew every time after a filter.

I’ve looked at a bunch of cold brew coffee makers and in the end decided to purchase this one because its the only one that handled the problem of making enough cold brew. Because this one is sold as a set with the growler I can save a batch of cold brew while the next batch is brewing right away. I also like the quality of these products! The glass and silicone appear to be of good quality as well as the stainless steel top and filter. I just received this so I will update in a couple months as to how well it’s all lasting. The first batch of cold brew was awesome! I let it soak in the fridge for about 22 hours. When I removed the filter with the soaked grinds it barely left any sediment which is a HUGE plus and means the filter is very fine as advertised. I actually didn’t use the growler at first and just kept the cold brew in the actual pitcher. It's airtight so it did keep the coffee fresh. About half way through the pot I figured that I was going to run out so I poured the rest of it in the growler that came with it (used the silicone funnel which is a nice touch). I then proceeded to make a new batch of cold brew which is in the fridge as I’m typing this. Overall I am happy with the cold brew coffee maker set and would recommend it over others. Flavor is less acid and deeper than traditional heated brewing. Very refreshing as the weather turns warmer. Delivery was in a timely fashion, it was well packed and insulated with zero breakage.

Recent purchase - owned just over a week. Had previously made cold brew at home - which involved 2-gallon jugs, mesh strainers & quite a hassle. Sought out a home method like this in retailers near me, and could find NONE. Resigned myself to online shopping (which I rarely do...) and after many searches, reviews, etc settled on this "kit". While the price point was slightly higher than I initially was planning to spend, I think it was worth it. I was swayed because of a few factors ; a carafe with NO handle, but a no-slip grip on the neck // a secondary storage container (not needed, but nice), and the general design & associated reviews. I will say that in attempting to make my first batch, I did partial grounds, water, more grounds and water. Super easy - but I went WAY overboard. ( I read the directions ... but I just did what I thought was the same as my prior method). Let it cb overnight on the counter, and then transferred it to the fridge in the AM. Total brew time of about 24 hours; then transferred to growler. The mini funnel that came in the kit was perfect for this step. Again, I went over board - so I diluted the first batch with some additional (spring) water after my first glass. My fault, not that of the company. Second batch, made the same way - but cut back on coffee grounds. I like strong coffee, but not so strong it's bitter / gives me that stomach rot feeling. But you can really make pretty strong coffee - depending on what kind of coffee and ratio. The first batch I had the grounds pretty well packed in the filter - took a little gentle tapping to empty, again my fault. (Second run much easier). Cleaning was fairly easy; but I also have bottle brushes and assorted sponges - for other "odd" shaped containers, etc. I will say that the one thing I am a little concerned about it - is breaking the carafe. It's fully glass, and other reviews have me a bit "anxious" - but nothing in my current usage dictates my level of concern. Assume you treat it like any other glassware, should be fine. (Came packed in bubble wrap during shipping - which was nice). Also, not a complaint, just a matter of "fact" - the carafe is "small" compared to my previous methods. I think from my searching it was in line with other CB options, but considering I drink cold coffee all day / work from home - I can drink a full brew in 2 days, maybe a little less. (Which the growler certainly helps, to have a second brewing). Overall I am very happy with my purchase thus far, and would (and have) highly recommended to others seeking a convenient home cold brew method.

I've been using this for about a week now and it's been great. The rubber grip around the neck of the carafe is great and addressed the problem I saw with other similar brewers, that is that a lot of them have thin glass handles that are prone to breaking. Even with wet hands you get a more than adequate grip on it. The included growler and funnel do exactly as you'd expect and let you start brewing your next pot right away so you can easily have a routine of drinking one carafe a day, and have the next day's ready and waiting for you. The filter is a rolled metal mesh that I expect will hold up for a long time and is very easy to clean, a simple rinse and you're ready for the next batch. Updated Review: Having used it for a while I have no change in the star rating, but do have a couple of more thoughts. #1, either grind yourself or find a very coarse ground coffee for use with this. Fine ground coffee will get you some residue in your drink. I don't consider this a negative, it's just the nature of the filter that they use so make sure you use appropriate coffee. #2, I found that the growler was growing slippery after taking it out of the fridge due to condensation and the smooth nature of glass. I was able to resolve this by giving it a quick wrap of tennis racket grip wrap. That now gives me an excellent grip and gives the growler an almost leather-wrapped look which upgraded the aesthetics of it as well.

This cold brew maker is exactly what you want if you're looking to make cold brew coffee. They really thought of everything with this set up. The glass carafe is easy to handle even when full, easy to clean, and fits a good amount of coffee without being too large! The filter is easy to fill and pour through and also cleans fairly well. I don't often use the growler that comes along extra but when I get the time to make multiple batches it comes in really handy and is also a great shape for storage in the fridge. While I haven't tried other cold brew makers on Amazon, I won't be looking for another, this is the one!

The kids and I purchased this for my husband for his birthday. I have been so impressed by it! It was all neatly packaged in an appropriately-sized box. The color instruction card is clearly written with all the necessary information. My husband has used it a few times for his iced coffee, which is his favorite thing to drink now that the weather is getting warmer. I love tea and I have used it twice to brew tea. I also just discovered that putting strawberries from our garden in the filter and letting the water soak up the fruit flavor overnight is a big treat for our kiddos! Once our blueberries ripen, I will add them as well! This product is so versatile (and so easy to clean)! I was looking at a lot of products and this one is definitely a great value for the price! I definitely wanted something made out of glass and quality parts and I found it! A lot of similar products have handles and I was worried that a handle could break or that it would stick out in our already packed refrigerator! There is a very nice rubber grip on the glass carafe. I would highly recommend this quality product!

Yep, all the 5-star reviews had it right - this is exactly what you need. Here's what I love about this brewer: 1. Comes with a growler (because I was wondering what I'd do if I still had coffee in the carafe and wanted to start a new lot brewing) 2. Comes with a silicon funnel to pour from one to the other (probably not STRICTLY necessary but a nice touch!) 3. Both carafe and growler are short enough to fit easily into a standard shelf in the fridge (not all of them are!) 4. Carafe is beautiful and easy to use, and has a nice little flap to help seal the filter basket in. 5. Cup measurements make preparation easy. 6. Price! This is a very good price for what you get. I've been spreading the cold brew gospel all around the office and people really like the result. Of course, I'm using Fair Trade organic coffee (Equal Exchange's Sisters' Blend, if you're interested) which means I'm starting with a superior product, but you can too! 5/5 would buy again.
