After reading reviews for other ice ball makers, common complaint is the balls break in half. How do these hold up?

I live on a farm and we have well water so I use distilled bottled water and so far 2 out of 3 attempts the ball has come out if the mold cracked in half.

Do they screw closed together??

No they do not screw closed. but I have had no leaks what so ever from these molds.
