This video son DWC hydroponics grow system especially for the beginner is the way to go The system here really showed me how to do things properly maintenance is a simple setting up a simple You get everything you need you know the system here is more than enough buckets considering what states you live in but they do give you six and that is what you exactly want If 5 gallons they're perfect for what I use it for plants I drill growing you know you'll see the difference growing hydro with this system You'll grow half the time if you know what you're doing you can say they got valves you can set your oxygen levels It's a great system self-contained each buck itself contained some guys like it where this one bucket so all water but I think self-contains better that way if water goes bad it's only one it's not everything so this is a great system I still use it today and I bought this a lot a few probably a year and a half ago 2 years ago!

Take your time put everything together slowly. Works great, zero leaks, 2 months usage so far. Roots look great, top drip beats dwc without it.

The product is of decent construction, however I have a few gripes. One of biggest gripes with it are the high level of noise coming from the top drip constantly making gargling sounds which I can hear throughout my house. The air stones are not the best, one of mine didn’t work at all. I confirmed air was coming through the hose and replaced it with one of vivosun’s stones that I bought separately and found that air still isn’t coming through. It seems the pump simply isn’t putting out enough pressure to push air through the air stones since the same pump is pushing air through the top water drips which is a path of least resistance for all of the air. They should have designed the pump to separate the air for the top drips and the air stones Lastly the clay stones that come with it make a ton of dust/mud when wet. Even after rinsing them all off out of the bags they came in, they break each other down too easily IMO. I get that they should be semi porous to hold water, but still. Edit after using for a few months: One flaw of using this air powered siphoning system for recirculation is that the water will spray against plant stems which I’ve found to cause rot and damage due to the liquid plant foods present in the water. I would rebuild this system to use a water pump instead that circulates water in a steady stream rather than using air siphoning causing the water to spurt out to avoid this. Another edit: I’ve been using these now for over a year and I’ve been able to make them work better. One tip would be to bury the rings in the stones. This not only protects the stems of the plants from being damaged by being sprayed with the liquid fertilizers, but also prevents algae and reduced the noise of the system. Since doing this my plants are much happier and thriving.

Very easy to set-up, and very high quality materials. Vivosun booklet included has valuable grow information. Grow bucket has an external water level tube which also serves as the drain. Since the tube is at floor level, you need to raise the bucket to periodically drain by rotating the tube to floor level. I installed a 1/4 inch by 16 inches long stainless tube and a small water pump (both Amazon) into the lid via a 3/8 hole (using the extra rubber sealing ring Vivosun included) With this setup I can test e.c. and p.h. levels as well as do a periodic drain. Vivosun should incorporate this handy feature.

This system works decently. But for the price, it has room for improvement. The strong black air hose, intuitive bucket design, and top drip emitters are positives, and it operates fairly quietly (not silent). However, the air pump could be stronger, the drip system doesn’t always distribute water evenly, and the bubble stone could oxygenate the water more effectively. A reflective lid to block light and prevent algae would be a valuable addition, and the packaging could be more discreet for those prioritizing stealth. **Pros:** - Durable black air hose - Intuitive, leak-free design - Quiet operation **Suggestions:** - Stronger air pump for improved oxygenation - More even water distribution from the drip system - Higher-quality bubble stone for better aeration - Reflective lid to block light and prevent algae - More discreet packaging for stealth - Higher-quality hydroton (clay pebbles) With these improvements, this system would offer much better value for the price.

Kept reading reviews of people saying the air pump was gonna be super loud and will need to be replaced. When I plugged it in without anything else connected, it was super loud. However, once all the tubing and connections were made, it's actually as silent as all my other aquarium air pumps. So instead of having to replace the air pump, it's sitting happily in my tent pumping doing its job. I did not like that some of the holes for tubing were on the bucket instead of the lid, so i simply drilled 2 holes on the lid for the air pump and water recycle tubes. I then used regular tubing to fill the two unused holes on the bucket so that there wouldnt be any leaks. Very happy with this system. Have everything I need. I did order some extra buckets to help with water changes every so often, as the lids work on any 5 gallon bucket.

Extremely Unhappy with your DWC Hydroponic System The following is the message I sent to Vivosun about their DWC system. BTW, it took a while to figure out how to send it because when you click on Product Support, it doesn't take you to product support. It takes you to a page with a few items about how to use the product. Luckily, (or so I thought), it has a link to their Product Support Page. Too bad that doesn't take you to their product support page either. It takes you to their main sales page of all their products. I never did find a support page, but I did figure out how to send them an email. Here it is: Sirs, I purchased your two-bucket DWC Hydroponic System from Amazon. As I'm sure you know, the parts do not all fit together properly. Specifically, the tube attaching to the Water Level Tube does not fit very well. The other parts accept the tube because they are tapered and/or smaller. It took me an hour to attach each Water Level Tube and only by using other tools, Vaseline, and hot water. Worse than that, several of your parts failed before installation. Specifically, the sealing rings are bad and easily separate into two pieces. One of them was already that way before I opened the bag containing them. If I remember correctly, three more of them fell apart trying to install them. Right now, I have a bad leak in one bucket caused by the failure of the sealing rings, but both buckets were assembled with bad sealing rings because that is all I had to work with. Therefore, I cannot trust either bucket. Send me 8 new sealing rings so I can replace all of them. Send me two Water Level Tubes that actually fit the rubber tubing. Have the new parts delivered within a week. I'm not a vindictive man. Check my reviews on Amazon, and you will find that the great majority are 5 star reviews, and none of them are as angry and upset as I am at the moment. So if you want me to amend my current one star review on Amazon, you had better get me my new parts right away. .

I'll note the title first. I setup the airpump outside my grow tent on a shelf. It's an incredibly large tent so the Included amount of airline was not enough for what I wanted to accomplish, no fault of the kit. Everything is included for success minus nutrients. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the kit. It would have cost me more to purchase everything individually and make it just as nice including the drip ring. Yes the air pump is more then enough to oxygenate the water plus run the included drip ring. I found I needed to turn the flow to the drip ring down that's running the largest 8 bucket kit and included pump. Proof is in the pictures it works for picky vegetables so I can only imagine it will be perfect for cannabis if legal in your country for personal use/growth. I'm going to actually try and grow some genuine wasabi in these kits as the drip ring puts out enough water to mimic a running brook. 5/5 stars it's "expensive" but you get everything you need and it just works. All parts were included and the assembly instructions were carefully thought out. Take your time to assemble as instructed and enjoy the results. A well engineered product and worked exactly as anticipated.

Took 10-15 mins to set up, with just a pair of scissors as the only tool. Instructions were easy to follow and results are great so far! One cherry tomato and one Fresno chili plant.
