2005 Mercedes Benz SLK350... Did my research online and got mixed responses. Some said there's 2 different struts, some said they're the same. The struts are in exactly the same place on both sides of my car, so um? Found a YouTube video that explained how to swap. 10 minutes later I no longer had a German guillotine! Seriously, my hood is HEAVY! Would definitely recommend, especially for the price! Amazon had the best price and delivery on the interwebs! Couldn't even order them locally for twice as much, and would take a week or more to get... So, yea, if your hood doesn't stay up, GET THESE!

These worked great on my mercedes slk 07. I haven't been able to open the hood all the way for a while and recently it started falling on my head.Mercedes wanted an arm and a leg for these.Not so with this product. It's almost too strong and didn't break the bank.Super easy install.

The hood has to be opened beyond it's normal open point by releasing the hood stop latches on the hinges. Then the struts can be installed. This was not explained in the installation paper supplied with the struts.
