Cameron Sino Battery Replacement for JBL Flip 3 Battery, JBL Flip 3 Splashproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Replaced my jbl flip3 battery with this. This was a bit slimmer than the one removed. But fit fine in the speaker and all has been great after the swap. Changing the battery was way too difficult only because of jbl’s fault not this battery. I used it over two hours twice and have yet to run down the battery Update 11/25/2023 - continue to use my jag speaker with this battery and have had no problems with charging or battery life

bought one and changed out the battery on my first flip that I owned. Battery life went from 1 hr to all day. I since have replaced the battery in my other Flip 3 and, being that it was a year newer, its battery life went from a few hours to all day. Fit was perfect, and the repair was pretty easy for my older models. Just used some hot glue to seal them back together and they are good to go.

Buying aftermarket batteries for devices is, in my experience, akin to flipping a coin. I was certainly skeptical of this battery after reading about reviewers who had problems with fit, but it seemed like the most well-vetted choice. Well, suffice it to say that it works, with the caveat that it has only been a few weeks since I installed it. The replacement process is not easy, nor is it particularly difficult, but an instructional video is worth watching. The battery I received fit perfectly, but I could see how if any dimension were a tiny bit too big, it would cause problems with fit. The battery seems to charge just fine, although there is no longer an obvious automatic charging cutoff. This may be a problem with the JBL speaker itself, however, as I can't see how a battery without any onboard 'smart' functionality could affect this. The battery holds charge much like the original so far. If it maintains this for a year, I will be over the moon. So far, so good! Finally, it's absolutely ridiculous that JBL itself doesn't offer a replacement battery for consumer replacement. It's really a (bad) sign of the times when an otherwise seemingly well-designed product becomes useless after 2 years of use and can only be 'fixed' by JBL for the same cost as purchasing a new speaker.

Perfect replacement for JBL Flip 3. Old battery was toast with speaker was only lasting 30-40 minutes. And when I put it on charger would start at 4 Bars. With new battery speaker is acting like new. Install is a little tricky, small screws and glue holding the circuit board are not fun. Need to be careful not to damage the circuit board and ribbon cable attached to board. One tip: insert the ribbon cable slightly before sliding new battery in.

Before you buy a replacement battery, see if you are able to access and remove the existing one... It took me at least 90 minutes to replace the battery, and I am experienced with and enjoy repairing similar small electronics (e.g. laptops, iphones, etc.). I started by looking for instructions on youtube and ifixit, and discovered that no two were alike--and that none of them showed a device precisely like my JBL Flip 3. It seems that JBL went through many different iterations of this product. Some versions allowed access to the battery from the side, but in my case it could only be reached from the end. I did finally get it all put back together and it is working fine with the new battery (I can't comment yet on the battery life...). But I would recommend that only people who really enjoy this kind of work and are comfortable improvising (because you may very well not find instructions that match your device precisely) try this. (Good fine motor skills and good near-vision or loupes also help).

This battery is fine for jbl flip. I have an old model and this battery is 5mm more longer. . I have an old flip3 and it can be fit easy with a soddering iron. Your just melt the side of the plastic and the battery will fit easily inside. When you close the jbl nothing is apear. The jbl now can play for the 16 as a new one. I have also a big jbl extreme and i will buy a battery from this supplier if he have this product.à I recommend this supplier.

There was so much glue holding the old battery it it is virtually impossible to remove. My dead battery ignited when I tried to smash it enough to remove the ribbon cable, melting the Flip 3.

Compré esta batería para cambiarla a mi JBL Flip 4 que, según he visto, ha presentado problemas de duración de la batería de forma recurrente a muchos usuarios. La batería llegó bien, en el tiempo esperado y bien empacada. Sacar la batería anterior del parlante fue terriblemente complicado. Por el diseño del parlante, hay un cable ribbon que debe moverse para poder sacar la batería, lo que fue bastante difícil. Luego, la batería está tan apretada en el compartimiento donde se aloja que, para sacarla, hay que dañarla. Leí de personas que usaron un sacacorchos, perforaron y halaron la batería. Mi sentido de preservación no me permitó hacer eso, así que usé unas pinzas de punta delgada para agarrar y halar la batería hasta que pude sacarla, en todo caso, sufrió daños evidentes, aunque no explotó... Armé todo de nuevo con la batería nueva, pero el parlante quedó funcionando aún peor... por algún motivo, el parlante no carga la batería, pareciera detectar que está llena, y deja de suministrarle corriente, así que sólo funciona unos minutos... En fin, no invertiré más dinero en esta reparación, así que optaré por otro parlante bluetooth... en todo caso, estoy seguro que la batería está bien, el problema en mi caso está en el circuito que debe cargarla dentro del parlante

Die Laufzeit des alten Akkus ließ schon sehr zu wünschen übrig. So entschloss ich mich zum Kauf eines neuen Akkus. Beim öffnen des Gehäuses - YT sei dank - bemerkte ich, dass es schon höchste Zeit für einen Tausch war. Der alte Akku war aufgebläht und drückte bereits dermaßen gegen das Gehäuse, dass ein erneuter Einbau beinahe unmöglich erschien. Es fehlte nicht mehr viel und es hätte die Schrauben ausgerissen. Mit dem neuen Akku hält das Gerät wieder durch wie in den Anfangszeiten.

Fitted just nicely in my JBL Flip. Not sure of the quality as that takes some time to show.

All I can tell you is that I used it to fix my JBL Flip 3 and it works. Its a plug in with no soldering required. I have no way to tell what the capacity is.
