Good replacement part.
Seen those videos where the robot vacuum rolls over something your cat left for you that should have been in the litter pan? Well it happened to me too. Fortunately I caught it before it got more than 5 feet away, and laminate floors are a must for pet owners. The robot cleaned up fine but fhe factory brush was a lost cause. Replaced it with this unit and haven't had an issue. I read reviews on "compatible" parts fraying and failing prematurely so I stuck with the genuine Neato part. Just hope we don't have another situation like that again!

Needs a little adjustment to fit your robot
It says it's a genuine product but it didn't fit snug. It had about 2mm of play and made a lot of noise on my D5. I cut out a small piece of Mr clean sponge to make up for the gap and placed it on the tear drop side. It works great now with no noise and the sponge doesn't interfere with its rotation. If it was a perfect fit right out the box then it would be a 5star.

Great for high pile carpet
Just bought a Neato D7 and happy with it but it would error our right in the middle of a room with the "clean my brush" error but it was clean. We recently installed new carpet which is very dense and high pile. I did still have to take this brush and trim about 1/16 of an inch (or less) off the bristles with a scissors and the bot now seems o work very well. This brush also helps the bot navigate and climb runners and rugs which it had problems doing with the original brush. And it runs much quieter on both wood and carpeted floors. I wish the bot would come with this brush or it was less expensive, but overall I'm happy with it.

Hmmmm. maybe too big?
I don't know, my robot has had trouble getting "stuck" on nothing ever since I put in this brush. When I use the off-brand one, it has no trouble. I am not 100% sure it is the brush, but I can't find any difference in why it would all of the sudden be getting stuck. It seems to be a little too big. I know it is the right one for the model I have though, so not sure what is going on. I guess I am going back to the off-brand.

Great brush that lasts a long time
We replaced this brush after having our Neato for about 1.5 years. In hindsight, we probably could have replaced it sooner not because the bristles degraded significantly or anything, but because it had accumulated so much dust and dirt over that time. It is excellent in picking up hairs, so my husband regularly has to pull them off the brush. This brush seems to be one of the main components of what makes this vacuum so effective, so I think it's important to invest in keeping up with the condition of it. We'll continue to purchase this brush time and time again for the life of our Neato. Love this brand and how it works for us.

Good product but bearing fails quickly rendering the brush useless
I should start with the pro's, because it is a great performing product. It gets all the dog hair out of our carpets while also working flawlessly on our hard woods and laminate.Every time we empty the bin we are shocked with what it collects. It picks up dirt and dust that we didn't even know existed in the home... and we tend to keep the house as clean as possible. It's fantastic.Unfortunately, it's well known that the combo brush is one of the first failure points of the Neato robot vacuums. And this has been the case for us too.Within 4 months the bearing on our original brush that came with our Neato was shot. We figured maybe it was because the original vacuum was warehoused or sat for a some time... but when we replaced it with this OEM brush... and same result. For the price, this was upsetting. It seems overly expensive to keep a stack of these in supply like filters. For us, the brushes tend to last ~60-80 uses, or 60-80 hours, on a 1500 sqft house. You'll know because vacuum begins to struggle and audibly you can hear the brush 'wurring' beginning to encounter resistance. As a side note - we clean the brush, bin, filters etc. after every single use. So it's not a maintenance/buildup issue. So i'm a bit torn with how to rate this on a 1-5 star scale. Performance is a 5 especially with hair. It IS easy to clean... but only if you have the optional cleaning brush sold separately. Which, in my opinion, should be included with each vacuum brush replacement. It's just a cheap plastic comb but makes a world of difference. The fit/finish is a 5. The build quality (sans bearing) is a 5 and holds together well. But the bearing used is a negative 5. It just fails WAY to quickly and renders the entire brush useless. So would i recommend this? Yes. Especially if the vacuum is only used on occasion and can push 6-8 months out of it. I just wish they would upgrade the bearing so we can get more out of each purchase.

or the opposite end (the side that is kind of shaped like a tear drop)
I received the exact item pictured - so maybe try this out again if you received the wrong item before? A tip for all Neato BotVac D80 owners: clean this brush frequently to prevent hairs from wrapping around the ball bearings in the brush and ruining it. I mean take the whole brush out and remove any hair that has wrapped around the orange part, or the opposite end (the side that is kind of shaped like a tear drop). **Pull the grey tear-dropped section out of the brush itself and remove the hair** It pulls in and out easily. I have a border collie with very long hair and it ruined my first brush in a matter of months (ok maybe it was my own long hair but that's not the point). This brush should last a lot longer than a few months but I didn't really know how in depth I needed to get with the cleaning.

It fits my D3 Pro
I ordered this to replace the brush in my D3 Pro. I’d noticed my original brush wasn’t cleaning as good as new though I’d only had my bot about 8 months. I do run my Neato daily. The brush fits my D3 Pro and does an awesome job. I moved to a new apartment, replaced the brush in my Neato with this one, and ran the vacuum to see what I would pick up, expecting some but not much. The Neato had a full bin and the carpet was fluffed up and cleaner looking. It handles cat hair and litter easily, leaning none behind. I've learned it’s important to replace the brush and filters as the manual states to keep the vacuum working as good as new.

Genuine replacement
Original replacement. These seem ridiculously expensive for what they are.The only issue seems to be that you can't remove one end (you could on the original) so when difficult to remove twisted Hair at one end.It would be much better if you could simply replace the worn bristles and rubber blades, rather than have to through the whole thing away.

Works pefectly well on Neato D7 Robot Vacuum
Not a great deal I can write to review a brush for a vacuum, but nevertheless, I'm delighted with my purchase. The brush that came with my D7 stopped rotating, so buying a new brush was my best hope in fixing the problem. It works perfectly, and my floor looks lovely and clean once again!

Its perfect, really picks up the hair
Its perfect, really picks up the hair. I used it to replace the brush on D75, even though its intended for the D85, but it fits both.
