It is a very compact kit, well packed and contain essential items one may need during an emergency. I like the back pack as it is roomy and one can add other items such as one's prescription medicines (for 3-5 days) and simple pain medications, essential small travel kit of toiletry items for personal hygiene (face cream, shampoo/conditioner, hand soap and small comb) and Kleenex/toilet paper. It would be useful to include a can opener/bottle opener.

They provided the batteries which is great. The flashlight worked
When I emptied the contents of the backpack I emediately checked the electronics to make sure they worked. They provided the batteries which is great. The flashlight worked. Check! However the radio did not. I contacted the customer service and they were quite amazing. Very polite and easy to deal with. They fixed any issue I had and dealt with it quickly.

Seems good for not too much $
I was worried the bag was going to be too big for my kids to carry. But it is actually not too big considering the amount of items in the bag - and there was some extra space at the top that I could put a few other items in, if I wanted to. Anyway, besides my 2 year old, my other kids could easily carry their own bag - and it definitely has a lot of items that would be useful in an emergency.

Great budget emergency kit
Great basic emergency survival kit! I bought this kit to put in my car in case a large earthquake hits Seattle. Yes, it could have more features (I am putting a 1/2 roll of toilet paper in mine), but I like that the company tried to make it as economical as possible and then gave recommendations for upgrading it yourself (e.g., adding a knife to replace the box cutter). The backpack is comfortable and higher quality than I expected. And the customer service was outstanding - when I mentioned that I got two paracord bracelets but no cutter, they immediately apologized and sent me an entire second kit! I even gave them an out (another cutter would be fine), but they insisted on going above and beyond. I was totally floored...and now I have a second kit to put under my bed. Highly recommended! :)

PREPARED HOPE ESSENTIALS
This Emergency Survival Kit is exactly the way Amazon described it. The articles are for one person, and there are enough things in the back-pack to help a person to survive for one or more days. The bag is light weight and all the things in the bag are listed in large print along with pictures. I'm happy to have this bag handy near my door in my apartment!

There When You Need It.
The kit contains everything we might need in case of an earthquake or other emergency. The backpack is the a wonderful container and it doesn't take up much room in the trunk of the car.Hope we never need to use it but it's nice to know it's there.Great product.

Grab and go!
The backpack alone was worth the money: sturdy, lots of pockets, loved it. The essentials inside are exactly what I need living in a hurricane prone area. And someone else noted, they included batteries! Now that’s quite an usual. If you need a quick go to survival kit, I highly recommend this one for the price.

Being perpared for anything
I purchased this item for my dad who lives in a rural area and is out fishing and hiking often. He recently had to evacuate due to a fire an had nothing prepared to take with him. It makes me happy to know now he will have at least the basics to help him if needed no matter where he is. There are some great items in this kit and there is room to add additional items such as a change of clothes and important personal items.
