Very good quality - just like digital
Hunter x Hunter is a great series - I had been watching it on Netflix and wanted to have a permanent copy, so this box set of the entire series episodes 1-148 was a good deal. The Blu-ray format and English subtitles (it offers both Japanese and English language) are on-par with the quality on Netflix. The box set arrived on time and came shrink wrapped and with the 7 cases in an official illustrated box. I'd recommend opening the cases on a flat surface, as a lot of the discs were loose when first opening (easily fixed when you put them back in and attach securely). There are extra features such as art galleries which you can't get on Netflix which was a nice bonus. There were a couple of oddities which I've noted with photos, but I'm not going to officially dock from my 5 star rating because everything was fully functional. One of the seven cases came with a tear in the front paper insert, and the inside of the case including the discs was covered in a bunch of thick smears almost like vaseline - it took some time but I was able to clean the substance off the Blu-ray discs with a glasses cleaning microfiber cloth and the inside of the case became as clean as possible with some intense scrubbing with some lens spray (you can see in the attached photos that while most of the inside of the jewel cases are an extremely clear and shiny blue inside, the other one where you can see Gon and co's faces has an obvious grimy film). While it was a nuisance to clean, all of the discs played fine afterwards and that's all I really care about, but it was strange for the entire inside of one case of seven to have that issue when the whole set was shrink wrapped. None of the other cases had any issues, and all were in pristine shape. In addition, there was one small translation error in episode 35 The x True x Pass (Japanese language, English subtitle setting) when Wing is explaining Nen user specialty types - the chart is initially mistranslated by placing words in the wrong order which would make his explanation very confusing for anyone not already familiar with the series. When reaching that episode, it might help to search up an image of the Nen user specialties chart for reference.Overall, regardless of the quirks mentioned I'd consider this a very good purchase and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to own the series.

Great Story!
My family really enjoyed the story. The ant Arc is pretty dark aside from that a great show!

Movie is awesome shipping is not
The media could not be loaded. The anime is awesome but the shipping isn't I'd like to see Amazon ship this in a box with some filler in it rather then ship it with this plastic bag where the box case can get thrown around dented and potentially loosen one of the disc in the cases but in all I'm glad it didnt have two rough of damage some Corners got a little smushed in but it's okay

Great show, packaging case just OK
The show is great, but this review is specifically for the boxset. It gets 3 stars due to the nice additions, such as postcard. The artwork and quality of the media (Bluray) are great as well, better than Netflix. The problems are the defects in the case and packaging.-The spindles just barely hold onto the discs, so they easily slip out, even with minor shuffling and picking up the bluray case. This can easily cause scratching on the disc. Some of the spindles also came broken. You can tell this occurred prior to shipping because the broken pieces aren't even in the case.-The postcard and pamphlets are nice additions, but they have some wear, which is odd for a new product. It's shipped and sold by Amazon, so this should be pristine, unless someone is resealing and selling as new.-Some of the bluray cases inside the slipcover have scratches and dents, which is odd since its sealed and "new".

Great series
I decided to buy this set on speculation, after having watched a dozen episodes of fansubs. Most of the series is very enjoyable so far, though the ant arc is a little weak with far too much narration and Gon going berserk and emo over the condition of a fairly minor character he barely knew,. Still, at just over a dollar an episode it's fair value entertainment,
