Works great and as Intended...
Mines is used on carpet, and has been very sturdy... I've also used the remote control, which paired and functioned (used to start and stop a video) flawlessly to my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 cell phone ..would buy again and recommend.. Great bargain for its price

Bulky
This is the 2nd, 3rd and 4th tripod that I have purchased in the past 3-4 months. I bought this one because the feet on the first tripod I bought broke. The first was of a different brand. I like the phone stand/tripod concept though; especially in these COVID times where we are doing so much video conferencing.I placed the order for 2 of these because I was going on vacation to my parents' home and I wanted to take one to them as well. When I ordered them, the Amazon order stated that I would receive them 2-3 days before I was scheduled to leave for vacation. As the date approached, I received email updates that indicated that the delivery date was changing. Day to day, the notifications still indicated that the products would arrive before we were scheduled to leave, until 2-3 days out, when I got notification that they wouldn't be there on time...so I ordered another to be sent to my parents' home where I was traveling to. That one did arrive on time. This one was much larger than the first one I had. It's too big to sit on a table, and is even quite wide on the floor. This is not the kind that can double as a selfie stick, nor did it claim to be, but damn! The legs extend about 3.5-4 feet, so clear some room where you want to set it up.It serves its purpose, but is clinky to get your device in and out of. It's designed to hold the top and bottom of the phones instead of the sides of the phone, which may cover the speaker and mic on some phone models. People complained about me being hard to hear when I had it housed.I like the fact that it holds smaller tablets (ipad mini). I won't hold larger tablets though. It's too bad that it isn't more versatile. It works better for us when we use the ipad, so if you are using a device that you don't need to put in and out very often, and that device is a small tablet, it may be for you. When I returned home from vacation, the 2 that I originally ordered were there waiting for me. Now one is just sitting in the box. I'm going to have to buy a different style that is more versatile and doesn't take up as much room; possibly fitting on a table top, when necessary, so soon, I'll have 2 that I don't use.

It works
The contraption you have to fit your phone into gets very finicky, and it sometimes feels as though it is glued shut. My tripod didn't come with assembly instructions, and I got so confused I had to call someone over to help me. It hasn't broken yet, and it's good for it's intended purpose. I would reccomend this for someone who's tried other options, but those didn't work.

No problems with it at all so far!
This obviously isn't professional quality hardware, but it also doesn't seem pure junk quality either. The tripod and device holder are separate pieces so if one piece needed to be replaced/repurposed , you could do so easily. Although at this price (sub-$20) it might be worth it to just get another set.Interesting fact, while the tripod legs CAN go flat, you can still tighten them vertically, if you need a bit of height or have some floor obstructions. My only concern is that the expanding device holder was sticky, like, REALLY sticky. I couldn't find any sort of release tab, or anything, so I finally just resorted to pulling. When it finally came lose, I thought I broke it, but it was fine.It appears to be extending metal bars with tension held by some internal springs. I don't think I will need to worry about it losing its grip any time soon.Just be VERY careful first time expanding the holder!

It work for some not for me. Maybe this is just for celphone not tablet 7" Needs improvement
I let it stand flat once I put the tablet and bend the Gooseneck to my desire position which I use for lying down in bed,the stand goes down too.my tablet was just small.no matter what I do it does not stay . I did not return it due to I have a use for the gooseneck and tabler holder ,but it would be nice if I was able to use the whole thing. It would help if there was a weight on the base.

Multiple use, easy to assemble and use
Bought this to hold tablet while exercising on stationary bike, glider and rower. I'm very glad I finally bought it after debating about it for too long. It is perfect for stabilizing the device OFF the equipment and my neck, makes working out in my apartment more likely ( as watching the jiggly screen gets exasperating). Couldn't be easier to assemble and reconfigure for different equipment . I still use my lazy neck and clamp tablet holders for other purposes. Got this stand on a sale too, so the indecisiveness was fortunate in this instance. I have a magnetic tablet holder, I might try swapping out the device clamps if possible. That's the only improvement I can suggest on this excellent tripod tablet holder.

A Vloggers Dream Tool - Tripod
The media could not be loaded. This works in so many ways! As a vlogger, it holds my notepad with my script on it. In the field, it can hold my smartphone camera so I can be animated and move around a bit more. It can be tall I am (6 feet) or broken down to be shorter. The gooseneck on top lets you bend it up or down for viewing for for recording. I use it with a Super Heavy Duty ABCCANOPY Sandbag for holding it down in the wind. Easy to fold up and throw in the car, side pack of a backpack. It makes being a one-man Vlogger a lot easier!!

The neck does not last.
It works for the most part, but the neck does not keep it's stiffness. After a few months of use it starts to sag and it doesn't position very well, but it still holds up my tablet so I'll use it until the neck gives out completely.
