The Still Life Sketching Bible

I bought this book for an art class in college and we never used it...The book teaches you the basics of values and shading techniques, but honestly you could easily find this information online. This information is only on the first pages of the book and the rest is mostly examples of still life art in different mediums. My previous classes in high school and my college instructor taught us these basics anyway so the book was not really useful and more of a waste of money unless you really wanted to look at the example artwork.

I love to look at the art in this book. Lots to learn about drawing & painting.

I am a sketcher, and I feel anyone who does sketch would benefit from this book. However, I guess I didn't realize the size of the book is kinda small. But, I'm sure you can learn from it. Very well illustrated.

This is a well-written, thoughtful instruction book that offers practical advice and demonstrations. I love the size of the book and the spiral binding. It's easy to throw it in my drawing bag and take it with me.
