Could use a little extra protection for shipping
TL:DR - Taste of meals 5/5 - Arrived ahead of schedule - Crackers were crushed upon arrivalI've been a pretty avid gamer my whole life and for the past few years Escape from Tarkov has been by game of choice. As of late I've been ordering Russian food items online that are obtainable in the game and this Russian MRE is similar, if not identical, to the Iskra Lunch Box item in game. Anyway, the food in this MRE overall is great. I thoroughly enjoyed each of the food items in the MRE. This type of MRE is designed for a full day, so there are three separate main meals as well as some crackers with different spreads and jams available. For me personally though its definitely more than enough food for just 24hrs. There are two tea bags included as well as three powdered drinks and a single coffee mix. The MRE does come with three fire starter tablets as well as storm matches to cook your meals, but you will need your own canteen/cups/pots for drinks as well your own plate or bowl if you don't want to eat out of the metal boxes the meals come in. The fire tablets also include a metal folding stove for them to sit in. The MRE also includes three plastic spoons, napkins/tissues, wet napkins, table salt, sugar, and a fruit stick. My one big complaint is that when I opened the MRE I noticed every single cracker in the MRE was crushed to pieces. There was not a single whole cracker in any of the four packs provided in the MRE. I ate a few of the tiny chunks of crackers to try them but it was impossible to try any of the spreads or jam with them unfortunately. I know exactly why this happened though. When I picked up the MRE it had very minimal packaging. It was simply the MRE wrapped and sealed in a plastic shipping bag, so the crackers had no protection from being crushed while being shipped. The package arrived a day early actually so I was definitely happy about that, but I was quite sad to see the crackers did not survive the delivery. I feel that some padding would go a long way in ensuring that the crackers would not be damaged upon delivery.

Straight from the Motherland
Definitely recommended. Straight from Russian Federation. Very quick shipping. Good till 2024. Amazing flavors and taste. Also you get a lot more food cheaper compared to other mres. Plus considering the political climate today. I definitely want to continue to supporting Russian businesses and purchasing their amazing products. Spasibo Oleg!

Came in Good Condition
Got this as a present for my boyfriend who loves MREs. He’s been wanting to try these for a while now and I took a risk ordering these despite some of the reviews commenting on the freshness. The one I received came in pretty good condition, with the only problems being some dented items, but not dented enough to spoil the contents. I can say we were both satisfied with the package, he really loved it! Just a side note, some of the tins didn’t seem safe to heat up so I would recommend putting some of the entrees in a separate container to for preparation. I would have taken pictures but this was a while ago!

Good food at a decent price
First, I love the heater stove. It works quite well.Having said that, I have to add that the Russians really love their salt. The beef and the meat spread were loaded with salt, but they were also tasty as heck. You definitely don't need the extra salt packets they give you. Some crackers were a little crushed, but that's bound to happen. It's happened with American MRE's as well. It's just a minor inconvenience, but it is also an advantage. Those crushed crackers soaked up the fatty meaty juices of the beef and made the meal a lot more filling. I did try the cheese spread and, out of all of it, that was really the only disappointment in the case. It had, honestly, no flavor whatsoever. Guess I should have added the salt to that. The case arrived just as pictured. Had to download google translator for my phone to see what some of the things were, but that was easy. I look forward to trying the buckwheat porridge in the morning and maybe some of the apple jelly on crackers. I'll save the beef stew for later on. All-in-all, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Skeptical because of reviews
I was kinda worried reading the reviews, but in the end I ordered it anyway(Amazon would have covered it if they wouldn’t take it back if it’s bad, so i wasn’t worried) I received the bag unopened, all contents of the box where there, there was a sheet of (badly) translated contents list and a note from the seller, there are no English instructions, I went off a YouTube videos word of heating for about 5-10 mins, it turn out for the most part, the “beef stew” was definitely the highlight, I would buy it again just for that, the army crackers and pourage where not so good, but palatable. If your looking for interesting camping food or just want to try a Ishkra, this is the one.

On point, brings me back to my childhood
First off I'm Russian-American and I speak/read Russian. After reading the reviews it did not dissuade me from buying this. I saw one review that said it smelled like rotten flesh or w/e and the bag was BLOATED. That is your first red flag, fam. That means it is expired, or was transported on multiple air routes at high altitude, DO NOT OPEN THOSE, that happens to ALL MREs. Anyways, the one I got was well within 2 years from expiring, because I can read Russian, and there are no English instructions unfortunately, naturally. But to the best parts: My MRE had PLOV, I almost yelled like a child when I saw it. And the pashtet(canned meat paste) was on point for a military food. I havent tried all of it yet, but half of it was delicious so far, and yes it is canned food, so its not going to be restaurant quality. But all in all it brought me back to my childhood days, I shed a tiny tear. My wife who is not Russian got to try some of my peoples' food for the first time. She looked apprehensive at first, lol, but enjoyed it.To all Americans and people that can't read Russian. The bottom right date on the back is the expiration date, the year is the last two digits. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT BEFORE OPENING. These things are good for 3 years after manufacture date. Hope this helped.
