Definitely heavy duty but well worth it, easy to put on and take off, nice strap to keep them on. The sizing is spot on too. Unlike some other poorly made brands I won't name you get exactly what you're paying for winter gear that lasts and helps you stay on your feet. I primarily use them to get around town because I walk everywhere but they seem built well enough to handle a winter hike in the woods etc

I have used these for about a dozen winter hikes so far in many different conditions (pure ice, hard pack snow and fresh powder) and the have worked great. As compared to some of the lighter duty spikes they offer way more traction (not even comparable if trying to climb slopes). They also are more Durable than some of the light duty spikes (more rubber with a higher coverage on the show) which makes them more challenging to get on but provides a more secure fit.Overall I would say if you are off roads/sidewalks these are a much better choice than other lower lighter duty spikes.

I purchased these crampons in February and have had them out on ice and snow covered trails numerous times. They work wonderfully, letting me climb and walk across all types of ice and snow pack. So far I have logged about 20 miles with my first set.

I live in Alaska and every year I have to replace my cleats, but no more! These cleats are incredible, very durable. I bought two pairs for my wife and I and they are rugged and work very well. The links are solid, usually the links are the weak part. I walk on a mix of solid ice, snow and concrete and the spike have not bent or deformed, I was worried they would. I don't know when I'll need another pair but when I do I am buying another pair of these. The seller also contacted me via email shortly after the purchase however I couldn't comment because we did not have any ice where I live but now we've had plenty of snow and ice.Update: I have had these cleats for almost a year and a half. Unfortunately one of the links broke on the heel for whatever reason, maybe I stepped on the right rock. A simple email to Yatta Life and Terry is shipping me a replacement pair. I have worn them on two hikes that required them because of the sheer ice on rocks, and they worked. I chose to purchase them because they are less expensive than the Kahtoola brand, and I think it's important to have a little competition between what seem to be the only two companies manufacturing high quality micro spikes. They also come with a convenient pouch so the spikes don't melt all over my other gear or punch a hole in my pack.

First - they’re PINK, not black! Second- There is no Velcro strap. Third-the chains are a cheaper design than advertised. And fourth - the chains DO NOT have the double grommets to keep the chains from ripping out of the plastic as shown on the website!!!At first I thought that they’d made a mistake at the warehouse and shipped me the wrong item, so I requested a replacement order. Got the same junk a second time!!Both are going back! Not worth the $60+ they’re charging! Big rip off!!

Took these out on an 8-mile snow/ice trek. They are easy to put on and take off, stow well in a backpack and are light weight, and worked great! These are a fantastic option for when hiking boots alone won't cut it, but you don't need to go full crampon.
