Capri Tools Stubby Impact Socket Set (3/8" Drive/Metric Set)

Exactly what you want—short and STUBBY. These are perfect when you’re working in tight spaces where regular sockets just won’t fit. They’ve been a huge help on modern cars and in construction work, especially with how cramped everything is getting. The compact size makes a big difference, but they still feel strong and handle impact use without any issues. Build quality is solid, and they don’t feel cheap or prone to breaking. If you don’t already have a dedicated set of small/stubby sockets, these are definitely worth it. Simple tool, but makes a big difference when you need it.

Great sockets. Tough and durable. I use the 17mm mainly for breaking the fill plug loose on Isuzu rear differentials. It's a tight area to work in and this socket fits every time. Perfect for drain plugs on any automotive/ medium duty trucks. For the price, it's worth every penny. Fits perfect in my tool box and love the foam set.

Great buy works great

Capri is just awesome all around, but these low profile sockets have made me a lot of money since adding them to my box. Spaces that were so tight I used to have to reach for a combination wrench to get a bolt out now don’t require me to waste time switching tools. I use these primarily on my Milwaukee electric ratchet and 3/8 impact and they get worked harder than any set in my box but always show up and handle anything I put them into. They’re a hair shorter than the Matco ADV low profile sockets too, so even more reason to buy.

Der erste Eindruck ist super. Wer kennt es nicht, dass man keinen Platz für den Standart 1/2" Schlagschrauber hat? (In meinem Fall ein Akku Schlagschrauber.) Deswegen habe ich mir einen 3/8" Akkuschlagschrauber zugelegt. Soweit so gut. Also musste auch ein neuer Steckschlüsselsatz in 3/8" her, der auch für den Schlagschrauber ausgelegt ist. Und ohne fehlende größen ist. Das erwies sich zunächst aber nicht so ganz einfach, bis ich dann auf die Capri Tools Steckschlüssel gestoßen bin. Die Steckschlüssel sind durchgängig von 8- 22 mm und aus Chrom Molybdän Stahl gefertigt. Und somit auch richtig für den Schlagschrauber Einsatz geeignet, und nicht nur so Pseudo möchtegern Karft- Steckschlüssel, damit man sie besser verkaufen kann. Es gibt den Satz im Grunde in 4 längen. (Stubby, shallow, semi Deep & Deep.) Da ich die 3/8" ja für beengte Platzverhältnisse gekauft habe, habe ich mich für die gekürzten Stubby's entschieden. Mit nur 22mm +/- 0.2mm sind sie deutlich kürzer als Standart 3/8" und sogar noch einen Ticken kürzer als 1/4" Steckschlüssel. Ich habe da mal ein paar Vergleichsbilder gemacht mit 1/2" Standart mit rund 38mm länge 3/8" Standart mit rund 28-32 mm länge 1/4" Standart mit rund 25mm länge Und den Capri Tools mit rund 22mm länge. Die Schlüsselweiten sind auf der einen Seite aufgelasert und auf der anderen Seite deutlich erkennbar eingraviert. Geliefert werden zumindest die Stubby's in einem Schaumstoff Organizer, wo die Schlüsselgrößen dann auch nochmal extra eingraviert sind. Schade finde ich es etwas, dass es keinen Koffer dazu gibt. So habe ich sie jetzt aber zum Akku- Schlagschrauber mit in die L- Boxx gepackt. Die Wandungen sind Kraftschlüssel typisch dick ausgelegt. Zuerst dachte ich dass man die kleinen größen nochmal etwas kürzer hätteachen können. Bei genauerem Betracht, würde dann aber wahrscheinlich die Haltbarkeit sehr darunter leiden. Weil dann einfach zu wenig Material zwischen der Vierkant und der Sechskant Aufnahme vorhanden wär. Über die Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, das kommt dann aber noch.

Good size for very tight spots when working on cars

These seem like a good quality set. I recently bought a Hazet 3/8" socket set and comparing these Capri stubby sockets to the Hazet ones, the Capri ones are shorter than all of the Hazet ones, but really anything at 13mm or below, the difference is minimal that it is hardly worth it. So yes they could be spare sockets but really half this socket set is of not much benefit over what I bought elsewhere. So I would recommend getting the 1/2" drive Capri set instead where there will be a greater % of significantly shorter sockets than what you might have. Apart from that, the black finish scratches off with any contact whatsoever, it is practically useless. I would have rather have had plated sockets. And the carboard box is small and convenient but would have preferred a cheap plastic carry case.
