Just the right balance between logic and creativity
This book reminded me of the Dark Stories card game, which I used to play with my friends while in the car. But with three major differences: 1) While Dark Stories is a purely verbal game, in this book there are also visual clues that can help you get to the answer. 2) Often in Dark Stories you are asked to guess a pretty intricate and improbable background story. The mysteries in this book, instead, rely mostly on logic. While some lateral thinking is needed, the solutions are mostly within reach (especially if you have the option to discuss with someone). Even for the riddles where I did not guess the answer, upon reading the solutions I found myself thinking "of course", baffled by their simplicity. I want to believe that I would eventually have solved even those puzzles, given enough time. 3) The mysteries in this book can be tackled alone. Unlike the card game, in this book there are several YES/NO questions (with answers) already written after each puzzle. Even if you are in group, I recommend to first try to play without a game master. The many clues given in the book and the logic nature of the puzzles make the game master not strictly necessary. I got the ebook, and I like that I can take just take out my phone and tackle a puzzle whenever I am waiting in line or for the bus. Overall, I highly recommend the purchase of this book.

Wholesome Entertainment!
Absolutely great as you don't need any math or other special knowledge to enjoy these puzzles! Only logic and lateral thinking! Had quite a few 'aha!' moments, so be on the lookout for those!Friendly advice - don't look at the visual hints unless you are completely lost, because sometimes they are quite revealing!
