You Must Bring a Hat

I bought this book for my 4-year-old grandson because it has his name, Nigel, in it. There are very few Nigels in Canada, but it is a relatively popular name in England, and this is an English book with typical words and places. It is great if you are going to visit England or have an English background or want to see a few English places.

Im already a fan of Kate's illustrations and this book was not a disappointment. So much humor and funny characters. We loved reading it with my 4 y old.

My children (4 and 6) love this book. It's such a funny and silly story with a great twist at the end. I highly recommend it!

My goodness what a funny charming book this is. We first watched the story of this book on the BBC. With a bedtime stories. It inspired me to buy the book and it really is such fun to read. My mother who is the real rule breaker absolutely loves reading a story too. Both my children aged four and age 7 enjoy the story with my elder son getting enthusiastically exasperated with the nonsense rules.

Enjoyed it for my grandchildren, especially with my obsession with headwear!
