Vampires: An Adult Coloring Book with Sexy Vampire Women, Dark Fantasy Romance, and Haunting Gothic Scenes for Relaxation

The media could not be loaded. This is a coloring book of mostly female vampires. There are a few males but the focus is generally on the women. The vampires range from elegant to rather scantily clad pin-up style vampires and the designs range from romantic to battles scenes. Some of the designs have a hint of manga style but I would not characterize the book as that.The designs are extremely detailed and have many intricate and small areas to color. The designs have a beautiful and flowing style with areas to provide shading and blending if you wish to do so. There are 20 designs in this book which is less than most others but as the publishing company (Jade Summer) has provided two copies of each design, it is still a good value.While you can have access to .PDFs when you purchase this book, my review is based on the book as it is received from Amazon. That way you will know what the pages look like and how they accept color. I like that the publisher provides the digital version as well so you can choose the paper you wish to use and/or to color the pictures as many times as you choose.This is what I found while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my coloring medium:20 x 2 each Vampire inspired designs for a total of 40 coloring pagesDesigns are printed on one side of the pagePaper is typical of CreateSpace: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated. The back of the page is printed black.The designs do not merge into the binding. There is a heavy framing line at the outer edges of the design to give the project a more finished look, especially for framing.Glue Binding (there is room to cut the pages out if you choose to do so.)Though you cannot see the bleed-through easily due to the back of the page being printed in black, I recommend the use of a blotter page when working in this book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.Alcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work well with this paper. I found that I could layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. I tested both oil and wax based pencils. I also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.

I love this coloring book! I know , love is overused but man oh man these sexy little vamps are so much fun to color , the book in and of itself is high quality, one sided , well drawn and copied , and the objects allow me to get creative with my coloring . Not for nothing, peeps , but I am an artiste, if an artiste is one who takes others work and improvised and claims as their own- which, let’s face it, is exactly what a contemporary artiste is. So trust me- buy this book , but don’t share it with your boo. Or your toddler . It’s an adult coloring book for a reason.

I love Vampires! I will have to improve my skills quite a bit to color the faces but that's one of the main reasons I bought it. Every picture is very detailed and does an excellent job of letting you use your imagination to tell the story.It's great that each page is black on the back side. I'm coloring this type of page for the first time and don't know yet if that will be an issue but I put a paper between my pages anyway. Now that I've discovered Jade Summer I'm looking forward to purchasing some more books.I'm editing this review since I've started coloring in this book. I think it is more like a coloring book for adults. I'm doing my first page and I'm enjoying it but this may become a practice book.It's my fault that I didn't read the description.

As with all Jade Summer coloring books, there are two of each picture. Coloring pencils work best and even some pens. The opposite side of each page is black which helps with shadowing. The pics themselves are stereotypical vampires, both male and female. They are entertaining and maybe a bit silly, but ultimately fun to color. I recommend all the Jade Summer books, there is something for everyone and they are very affordable!

I love this it does have some doubles but pictures are great

I love all of this Artist's work and now have managed to secure all of her coloring books. This book? Love it, love it, love it! Even as a man approaching my 60s I did not find the subject matter to be ghoulish at all! To be honest, to have some fun I was actually looking for scenes within the scenes that I could color red to resemble blood. Only found 3 items stood out that would even be half way logical to color Crimson Red. But at the end of the day, this is a beautiful offering of art for the subject matter at hand. Has a very Gothic feel to it. On the first day I colored at least a little bit in each picture! What fun!

Honestly, my second book from Jade and I couldn't be happier. As with the other art books, the part that amazes me most are the black backed pages and the details to the art. I can color these books with pens and not worry about bleed or the backs of the pages showing where my pens soaked through.Each image is masterly done and so I can see myself spending hours(As Ive started doing), coloring pages. There are also two copies of each page for mistakes, testing and trials. You also get a digital copy so you can even print out pages and do it again if you so wish. Honestly, I won't finish this book before the next one by Jade comes out and I'm already looking forward to it.

Just purchased this book and I love it.The book has around 21 different images then it repeats so you get 2 of the same illustration.Which I think is great as it allows me to use a different medium, technique or colours on a picture I like without having to scan / print before I start.The illustrations are well done, I love the art style.Great for beginners or colouring vets.The pictures aren't too complicated with little tricky to colour areas but aren't full of empty space either, a great balance.Each picture is one sided with a black backing so if you use markers you don't have to worry about ink bleeding through.I look forward to trying some of jade summers other books :)

The fact that each picture is one sided with a black backing is a bonus. It means you can use markers and don't have to worry about ink bleeding through. The lines on the artwork itself are not heavy black which means they can be hid easily if you don't want them to show. All in all a lovely book. As I have not used it yet I can't comment on the quality of the paper used but I will update this review once I've had a chance to.

This was one of the first few jade summer books I bought and I love them, especially this one. This one has beautiful pictures! Would definitely recommend! The paper might be too thin for markers or paint but I do not really know because I use pencils, and what I found with all jade summer books is that if you press harder on the paper the faint black outlines get left behind in the next page so I have to put paper behind the page to prevent that, but it's not much of an issue for me.

This book is excellent. It is full of beautiful and imaginative drawings waiting for you to bring them alive (if that's the right word): a must for anyone who likes vampires and goth themes. Very good well worth the money!

Fun pictures and it has a protective back so you can use sharpies or what you want and it don't leak on to the next picture.
