Well made, weather resistant and stopped feed waste. I didn’t place it on the ground but put it on a post a few inches above ground. Pigs haven’t tore it up yet but as pigs do, they have been working on it. If you secure it to with stand a natural disaster it should last a few years with pigs.

Works well with dogs too.,..........

I have four of these now and they work great. Two from Amazon and two sourced local. They are light weight but tough. Feeder to butcher weight, these work well. Pigs eat a lot, so you will be filling it often. That is not a downside as you should be interacting with them regularly anyway. I did secure them through the hog panel and screwed off to a post set in concrete to reduce damage. They are also sitting on concrete blocks buried to deck level to prevent rooting under it.

Poor design and assembly. The tack welds that hold the hinge for the lower lid gave way when we set the feeder up for our pigs. The other hinge looked weak also so I had to reinforce the hinges with a pop rivets. The hinge needs a substantial reinforcement to take the constant lifting and closing that pigs will do on the feed door. Need better quality control before final shipping.

When the feeder arrived it was all put together which was nice. After taking it completely out of the box I noticed it had a big dent in the bottom corner of the feeder and the lid was slightly bent. The company would not return any money but did offer 10% off the charged price. I did accept the offer, they were quick to respond & provide the credit right away. I will have to fix the lid where it is slightly bent because I notice it is letting in water (rain) and causing the feed to get wet. I'm not super impressed but it will do and I don't feel it was worth what I spent at this point.

The main reason we bought this is that we wanted to make sure our pig had food while we are out of town. We are still training him to use it by putting his food bowl in front of it and some food in it. This feeder is very sturdy and well made. It hangs easily as I mounted mine on the side of our pigs' house. It has a deep chamber, we haven't filled it up yet to see how much it holds. Inside has an adjustable door so you can regulate how much food is dispensed. I put heavy automotive grease along with the parts that would be touching the wall and bottom that sits close to the ground, the reason for this is that here we have a lot of fire ants and this prevents them from getting inside to the food.

Perfect for any sized pigs. Easy to install and comes all in one.
