Very good for a first book in the series of Murder , She Wrote books
Gin and Daggers was a great first outing for the series of now 60 books the only problem is the changing Mort’s name one minute they are calling him Morton then other times they call him Mort even the tv series just call him Mortthat is just my observation.Overall I would recommend people to love the show then definitely read it either on book or kindle and what was also interesting that the next few books in the series was mentioned as one of the characters had written very funny anyway enjoy them as it feels that you are watching an episode of the tv series

A bit slow, but nice. Why the romance though??
Very nice story. A bit slow around the middle, and I did sus out a few things, but a good plot twist at the end and way more people involved than I had originally thought. The ending was a bit messy, probably because it was so slow going most of the time, and everything sort of imploded at 95%.One thing though. Why did they sort of start a romance between Jessica and the Inspector? I don't remember tv show!Jessica having any romance ever (then again, my memories are old). Can't we have a female lead without feeling the need to set her up with someone, every single time?
