Highly Recommend-Right product for difficult spaces
Working on residential renovations in an urban area poses several challenges, especially with debris removal and accessibility (no way to get a dumpster in place). Working from 2nd and 3rd floor levels we have been able to get mudbed concrete, tile, plaster, and other construction debris safely removed and into our toters. When we had an issue, the customer service handled it without difficulty

Collapsible; With No included Reinforcing Bands; Nor Hopper; Like Landscaping Fabric; 40°F+
What am I reviewing?I am reviewing Easy Chute Store’s trash chute for construction debris removal. How did the item arrive? In a flimsy, non-retail like, clear, heat sealed, oversized plastic bag that measured about 21” x 13” x 6.” [I note flimsy because the bag was torn open from side to side, allowing the product to become soiled – it looked like the package had been opened – was it to stick a photocopy of the product information flyer? Or a return?]. I think a very thick commercial plastic should have been used, rather than the thin plastic it arrived in, like a clothing bag.Brand/Trademarked name?EASYCHUTE – as noted on the product.Instructions/Information sheet provided?Yes, a photocopied or black and white printed single page, double-sided instruction sheet/information flyer. It did not give me the feeling of a very professional presentation of very important information, which MUST be READ, PRIOR TO USE.Initial thoughts. This is a patented, non-metal, collapsible, orange in color, debris chute that is made of material that is like weaved landscaping fabric [Polypropylene Woven Fabric]. It’s a novel chute that is, in my opinion, not that revolutionary, rather more evolutionary, with the type of material it’s made from and geared, for me, as a consumer, on a small project, rather than a demolition professional. How big is this? The listing was absent any information regarding size. Why? I have no idea. So, I measured this. But first, I learned, from the flyer, that each section of this chute is to be (10’), i.e., (120”). However, mine measured less, (114”), that’s (9½’). That’s not a measurement in my favor, so, it’s a negative. [Width was (34”).]Weight?My section weighed-in at five (5) pounds, like what was referenced in the listing; whereas the flyer noted less than 3lbs.Duty level. This is marketed as being a “disposable” chute. Sharp objects must be avoided, optimal is bagged trash, with no sharp protrusions to hang-up on the weave, as the material is moved through. Proper use is essential.Maximum height use?Yes, there is. Proper use is pegged at three (3) story residential use.Warranties offered?None.Keep taut?Yes, avoid slack to prevent back-up of material. There are loops at certain sections to allow this.Does weather matter?Yes, absolutely. This is designed for use in temperatures above 40°F conditions; there is notice, I consider it a specific warning, not to allow this to freeze nor to be used in icy conditions.Color:OrangeOdors?None.Country of origin?Unknown. Nothing noted in the listing; nor the flyer, nor on the product that I found.Hopper included? No, and at its price point, should have been included.Hoops provided? No, and at its price point, should have been included.Overlap? When attaching additional chutes, about (18”).Value?I did not think it offered very good value at its retail price of just under ($150), considering the within review.Rating?Weak four (4) stars. It’s useful, however, there was too much information left out in the listing to allow me to best consider whether I wanted to select this, for instance, size, duty-level, weather limitations, use limitations, and that this has a very limited life, etc... Plus, this arrived so soiled, that even the spouse said “eww,” what’s on that.I hope my thoughts added additional information.

Big help upstairs
Been remodeling my upstairs bathroom and this chute caught my eye. It’s sturdy enough for my needs, set it up quick from the window to the bin below. Been using it over the weekend and it’s been a big time and energy saver. Made trips down and back up much fewer, old tile and drywall went straight out no hassle. Holds up fine with heavy stuff, didn’t tear or sag. Little pricey for what it is, basically a tough sleeve, but it worked great.

Functional
Yes, this EasyChute works for debris remove from elevated levels. There are better options available though, so do some research before you buy. I got this to help with a second story apartment remodel and it works with some set up. I now know that there is more required to make it work as it should. If I remember correctly the instructions mentioned using a 55-gallon trash can at the opening for the chute, but I will not cut the bottom out of my trash can just to use this chute. So, I found an alternate method to use it that worked, but like I said I would do it differently starting from the beginning. The material held up to all sorts of debris sliding through it to the ground, but it won't last forever. At the end of the day, I was able to get the job done with it and it was a learning experience.

It's good quality but only 10ft tall
The product is actually really good quality but it turned out to be 10ft tall which is a bit shorter than I expected. I think the capacity mentioned in gallons is useful but not as critical as the height for my upcoming workshop reno. You can use it from a second floor residential unit that's maybe 10-14ft without issue but I'll have to wait and see if I can find a way to use it safely from about 18-20ft. I would recommend that the manufacturer list the product length in the description. Docking one star for that but if the length suits your needs the product itself is actually very well made.
