This is a very well-designed product. The three features I particularly appreciate are:1. The roof overhang is very generous and will keep all but nearly horizontal driving rain off the tubes.2. The replaceable tubes will make spring cleanup a breeze and is a critical part of having a bee house that won't infect the bees with diseases they could contract from the previous year's detritus.3. The French cleat for mounting the house is a very sturdy mechanism and will greatly simplify unmounting and remounting the house for its spring cleanup.

This Bee House is very well built and also looks wonderful.Only issue for me is that the mounting bracket doesn't really work on vinyl siding so I had to mount a square of wood to the siding first.But that wasn't a big deal to me as it's a wonderful bee house.I'm excited to see how much use it gets!

The box itself is very well constructed in cedar. The bamboo canes are of the correct length; 6 inches. However, a good portion of the canes were far too narrow for any mason bee to use and had to be thrown away. Also, many of the canes were not fully open, by that I mean they had knots or joins which closed off halfway through the cane and these had to be drilled out. When I buy a product I don't expect to have to finish it off myself at home! And also, for the quality of this product, I didn't expect for it to be full of sawdust which went absolutely everywhere when I opened the box! Little details like this stopped me from giving it the full 5 stars. These little things need addressing as not everyone is a dab hand at DIY or have all the tools to start drilling holes in canes! Overall though it's a nice bee box and 'may' buy another.The bees have filled all of the canes and seemed happy.

This is a quality built bee house and comes complete with tubes. We have waterproofed the outside and will be hanging it up outside today.

I have bought several Mason Bee Houses over the years, but I'd rate this one as the highest quality of them all. The craftmanship is tight. The cedar wood is beautiful. It's got an easy cleat mount. They screwed the pieces together instead of nailing it together which makes it very solid. There's an overhang in front that keeps the bee tubes dry. And, the bee tubes themselves are the best kind: they are cardboard tubes with paper liners. That makes it really easy to remove and replace the liners each season. Also, it's a small business with excellent customer service that answers any questions you have promptly.
