G.B.S5 Blade Technology Style Precision Razor, Onyx

I really liked the shave I got with this razor. And with 5 blades you don't go wrong. I do use this razor in the shower when I do shave. There was no slippage at all in my hand. It worked well. The only suggestion I would have made was the handle could have been 1 inch longer. But that is no biggie. Still gave a wonderful shave.

I got this as a 14th anniversary gift as it was ivory in color. Ivory is the 15th anniversary gift.iIt was a long shot as I knew it was plastic but it was a flimsier plastic handle than I expected so I did mot end up keeping it.

This handle is just what I needed. When combined with The fusion 5 blade cartridge you have A true razor. The Gillette handle is small and light. This handle not only lets me get A firm handle on the razor it has the feel of at least twice the weight. I get the feeling that I am in control of my razor. It is heavy enough that I do not have to press on the second shave to get A close shave. All and all, a good and enjoyable purchase. I recommend

Was very happy when I opened the box and found this razor inside. A beautiful handle!!! Well balanced for the perfect shave and totally non slip. Makes shaving a true pleasure.

This handle seems to be pretty durable and it looks great. I do find the slick surface somewhat hard to grip if my hands get water or shave gel on them, but texture would change the aesthetics.

UPDATE: After about 6 months the plastic connector has failed and the blades frequently disconnect from the handle. I have lowered my rating to a 2This handle is a good start. It has more weight and a good balance. But the handle is slippery when wet because it has a completely smooth surface. And the angle that the blade attaches when pivoted results in the blade being in a perpendicular position to the handle rather frequently. As I use this to shave my face and my head I see it as a design flaw.

While on vacation I saw a beautiful handle for my razor made from marble. Loved it BI I’m not blowing $90 bucks on a razor handle. The experience left me with a longing for an improved handle. My search led me here. This handle is very nice looking and stylish and big improvement over the ones sold by the razor company. When dry it feels awesome in your hands. My biggest issue is when your hands are wet and maybe you have some shaving cream on them it can get slippery. That’s a small nit pick, the other Is I would love to see otherOptions and colors

Much as I like many of the features of this razon (compact size, weight, looks good), I found it difficult to grip when my hands are wet.
