Case Closed: The Phantom of Baker Street Movie

In the Phantom of Baker Street, There has been a murder in a room located in the basement of a building where there is supposed to be a game demoed. Looking at the evidence, Shinichi finds out that the Legendary Jack The Ripper is somehow involved and enters the game demonstration, in order to solve the case. Upon entering the game, a computer program called Noah's Ark takes controls and tells everyone the new rules.Afterwards, Shinichi and company head off to London 1888, in order to uncover the real identity of Jack The Ripper.Surprisingly, Jack the Ripper is not the only one present. With the mention of Inspector Lestrade, the gang finds out that Sherlock is also present in the game.With the number of players dwindling, it is up to Shinichi to not only discover Jack the Ripper's identity, but also bring everyone that had lost back to life.This movie was very good, with only a few problems, none of which were due to FUNimation. For example, there are subtitles on scenes that have been originally and dubbed in English. This was kind of horrible, but it did not take much away from the movie. FUNimation did not intentionally do that.As was mentioned before, Sherlock makes an appearance and so do characters like Irene Adler and Professor Moriarty and Sebastian Moran.As always, there is a Japanese audio track, for those of you who do not like the English dub.I would suggest this movie to Sherlock fans and Detective Conan fans, as this meshes the world of Detective Conan with the world of Sherlock.

This is a excellent anime series for those who like mystery and detective series. With the main character (Conan) being an up and coming great detective, yet forced to live in a young boy's body after he was forced to take some terrible new and experimental pill, the series becomes quite intriguing as the boy must now gather the clues and solve the crime in different ways since no one would likely believe a little kid. The Phantom on Baker Street is the 6th film in the case closed series and the last one that was translated into English. (In Japan it is popular enough that they still have been makin and releasing a new film each year since at least the year 2000 or before. All of them have been good and in the more recent ones there have been guest appearances of Lupin III, different characters from the Organization Black, and more.)In the movie Conan must now go back in time using a virtual reality system created by a young boy genius who was mysteriously killed, and solve both the crimes involving Jack the Ripper in the virtual reality system and also gather clues to discover who killed the young boy genius programmer and another person at the premier of the ne virtual reality system. It is not too violent, and it still has all of the wonderful pieces to a great mystery/detective movie.

If you are a fan of anime, Sherlock Holmes, and/or trying to learn Japanese the fun way, this video is for you.Conan is a great character with lots of appeal for kids of all ages, but the films usually do include some scenes of strong violence. Honestly, they are murder mysteries, for the most part. If you aren't sensitive to having your kids watch cartoon violence, this shouldn't be a problem. If you are, well, you might want to watch the trailers online before buying it.I always thought poor Wiley E. Coyote's cartoons should have had a rating of some sort...

Love this series. This is one of the best movies to. Definitely recommend for any anime fan. :D

Don't let the cartoon fool you, this is a true murder mystery filled with gruesome murders, ingenuous murders, comedy, plenty of clues and red herring to keep you guessing till the end when the young detective solves the case.

I couldn't not like a case closed movie, the story lines are beautiful and solving cases is fun in itself! A must get!
