Viking Celtic Hair Sticks Hairpin-Viking Hair Clip Sticks for Long Hair Stick Slide Irish Hair Accessories (3J-Ice-Pink)

At the time of my purchase there were four styles and I chose the only one that didn't have a dragon. The clip is approximately 2 3/4 inch long and the pin is 3 inches. It is solid metal, some kind of cheap base metal, which weighs under 1oz. It has a sort of oxidized or blackened "antique" look to it. The gap between the clip and pin/bar is only 1/4 inch which won't fit much hair. So...don't imagine yourself putting your hair up in a bun or holding half your hair and pinning it all with the clip. The best way is to style your hair and use a hair band to secure it, then place the clip over or just above the band and pin it in place. I consider this clip more decoration than functional. I'm not convinced it's worth the $6 I paid but overall it is really quite a nice eye catching piece. If you're looking for a hair clip then this isn't it, but if you simply want to decorate a braid or similar then this would look great. I've added a few pictures so you can see the actual size.

I didn't open my package right away as it was Christmas Season and lots of packages came in all at once. It simply slipped my mind as it was placed among the many Amazon boxes, neatly stacked in my room.When I did open it, it was broken. No way to contact seller or manufacturer or Amazon, except to write a review. The head of the piece that holds the hair in place had broken off. It might maybe work as intended for a while but it would eventually fall out as the pin piece would slide through the main piece of the barrette without that head on the main pin piece. Not only that, the pin piece has some jagged edges that, while not overly sharp, might cut my head, my hands, or anyone who touches me or my hair.I know at this point, although it is not too long after I purchased this barrette, I will lose the money I spent and never receive the fully functioning non-harmful barrette I paid for. This makes me morose and I lack hopefulness that the situation will be resolved and that the ones who created it will be contrite. But here it is the last resort. I smell the brimstone and read the sign on the gates as I pet the three headed dog.If it had been intact, it may have been a lovely barrette. Instead, here I stand, at the firey gates of H*ll, throwing 6 dollars into the flaming pits for no recompence. At least Trevi grants wishes.

I love this hair clip. It’s very beautiful and unique. But, it is quite small. I have very fine hair and it was way too small for me to use for a ponytail. When I did a half ppnytail by pulling the sides back it worked perfectly. Surprisingly, on my fine hair, it did not slip at all.

This was a pretty piece, but hard to use, not well designed. I had to bend it to get any amount of hair in it and in order to keep it in I have to use a band too. Even then it doesn't want to stay in sometimes. I have average hair, not fine or thin, not thick. It's pretty, but it's a pain if you don't have it in just right. Designed better it could be a much better product.

It’s very thin metal and looks better in pictures then in person. It’s made very cheaply and I don’t think it will last long it also can not hold much hair not good for thick hair. I would have returned it but due to some life issues I missed the return by date.

I love this Viking Celtic Double Dragon Hair Clip. I bought it for a friends birthday gift. She loves dragons, and has Viking and Celtic heritage. I know this will look just lovely in her long French Braid. I have one that is similar but only a single dragon that I really liked. When I saw this one, I knew it was the one for her. If you are looking for a beautiful way to dress up long hair, do not hesitate. You will be very happy. And for the price you cannot go wrong.

Was not packaged well, arrived smashed flat enough that the stick pin was stuck. Gentle bending of the Barrett restored the curve, problem solved! I am blessed with thick hair so this Barrett won’t hold all of my hair, but works well to pull the front of my hair back. Doesn’t slip, stayed in place all day without addition band. Cute!!!

This is a neat accessory and I bought it for my daughter, 13 years old, loves dragons. The problem is that it won’t stay in her hair. I should’ve listened to everyone else’s reviews… Being a single dad I am not extremely adept with making things like this work, although I usually find away. It looks nice but doesn’t do much good if it won’t stay in the hair.
