My husband researched alot about reef safe zinc oxide sunscreens before our 8 day trip to Cancun. We ordered several and tried them all and this one was my favorite. (My husbands second favorite.) It moisturizes and has a smell which I found kept me bug bite free! (The smell was a bit strong out of the tube, but I found pleasant as it was spread out and left my skin with a sheen so I knew if I missed any spots. The one day I didn’t put it on my legs was the day I got 2 bug bites on my exposed calf.All zinc oxide sunscreens go on white and have to be rubbed on well and spread out until clear. It was a bit of a workout, but I found dabbing spots in sections and then blending them helped make sure I had even coverage. When applied to my husbands hairy chest and back, it was more difficult to not have any white showing, but I got close. We did follow the directions of reapplying after 180 minutes or when rubbed with clothing or a towel.For my pale skin and a family history of skin cancer this sunscreen allowed me to not be covered head to toe in clothing and actually get a little color. We spent 5 days at the pool watching other people get burned, but I only got a little pink once in a few areas I discovered had gotten rubbed that I forgot to reapply. Not even uncomfortable and I wore a rash guard also as an extra layer after a few hours. 3 of those days were spent at a private cabana with its own mini pool. We were in the sun more than the shade and knew reflecting from the water and white buildings would still get us so we didn’t go without clothing or sunscreen. I plan to order this and keep it on hand since we also have a pool at home. Now I can no longer fear the burn in my own backyard and stay clothed while the rest of the family enjoys cooling off.

The scent is a little strong at first but it’s worth it for the wonderful job it did at protection! Spent 2 weeks in extreme heat and humidity. Ocean and lake alike, my kids did not burn. Will buy again and again. Very thick and white. Takes a lil rubbing to make it go away BUT a little bit goes such a long way. Worth it.

I'm pregnant and avoiding harsh chemicals at this time. This sun screen served as a good barrier to protect my skin from the Florida sun while at the beach. Usually I get nasty burns when I travel there, but this stuff really did the trick. Feels a bit greasy going on, but it does the trick and no harsh reactions observed to my sensitive skin. Highly recommend.

We bought this sunscreen because it was on Hawaii's list of reef safe sunscreen. It's totally waterproof and kept away the sunburn in the blazing Hawaiian sun, so it totally does what it needs to. That being said, it rubs on like something between play-doh and clay. I dont know if you just get used to the smell or it goes away but my entire family agreed the smell of this stuff when you put it on is horrible, enough to make you chant "Save the Reef, must save the reef!" The product works and lasts like you would hope, and helps the environment when you are in beautiful places, but I will never use this hiking, or hanging out at the pool.

Love this sunscreen and how it has great ingredients, but the tube feels like so much air inside and I haven’t opened it yet! Check out the photos with the light behind it…meh. I also got the jar of the solid tinted one. Probably will stick with that over the squeeze tubes.

Reef safe and effective!! Whole family used and nobody got burned. Smell was fine and texture was different than expected but the results were great. Highly recommend. I will purchase again for our next dive trip.

I wanted to love this product, but I couldn’t. It’s very hard to spread, which is not too big of a deal. However, it leaves sticky residue that I just couldn’t stand! I hated the sticky feeling and it was very uncomfortable. The sunscreen was very effective, I often only applied once per day even being in the sun for many hours. I have used other non-toxic sunscreens that rubbed in much better and didn’t leave a bad after-feeling, so unfortunately I will need to go back to those.Edit: My husband wanted me to include that he “didn’t think the sunscreen was too bad.”

I use this as my everyday cream for day and night. Wonderful ingredients.
