I have a glass desk. Will the clamp be safe for it?

the sponge that helps the clamp isn't very stable and falls off so I would suggest looking at other options the bottom is metal so it can possibly scratch as well as fall at times since mobility isn't perfect

How do you connect the wire after installing ?

You connect it to any available USB ports on your PC. Mic-wise it's on the back it's a tight fit.

It gets flimsy after a while not suitable for long-term.
