BregLace Up Ankle with Stays (Medium)

I wear a 10.5 or 11 men’s shoe. This brace gives me plenty of stability and it’s very well made. I don’t use the stays.

I like the Velcro - easy to use.

I ordered this product to supplement an older version that was in use that was no longer available. It did not meet the need and had to be returned. The brace was well made but did not provide the same support and ease of use as the legacy model, which, apparently, is no longer being manufactured.

I have purchased other over the counter Velcro ankle braces that provided very little support. You will be amazed at the comfort and support you will get from this lace-up brace. Breg's did it right, it has the support of a hard walking boot, but the comfort of fitting in your work boots or tennis shoes!

They are really great.and they last a long time.

I first bought one of these braces about 10 years ago. After 5 years it eventually wore out so I bought another. Now that one is getting worn out so I just bought my third one, which is what this review is about. The new one arrived and looked similar to the first two, but when trying it on I noticed the design had been greatly changed for the worse, as follows: (1) The laces are now tied at the top, whereas before the lace endings were attached to two velcro straps that wrapped around the middle of the brace. So now the laces are tied in the same spot as the laces of the hiking boot that goes over the brace! In addition, the new laces are not long enough so they come out of the eyelets when you spread open the brace wide enough to put it on. (2) The top velcro wrap-around used to be one long piece, but now it's two shorter pieces that take two hands to fasten and it's very awkward. (3) The strap at the very bottom (just above the back of your heal) digs right through your sock into your skin. I returned this item, and I'll visit some of the local physical therapy offices in the hope they still carry the old model.

I received this exact brand from my doctor, but needed another for my other foot. I’m glad I was able to find it and order another one!

The exact same as at the doctors great fit and wonderful support. The instructions were easy but I YouTubed the exact ankle support and was able to watch how to put it on. Loved the product.
