Must have for nature library
This entire series is perfect for a nature homeschool library or for any nature lover really. We love that they can be easily taken out for field learning. They are packed with all kinds of great information too. Worth investing in all the books like this.

Great Series of Books
Most kids won't be out catching snakes and lizards. Or maybe they'll be one of the lucky ones who will be. Either way, this book is colorful with beautiful artwork and informative with the information presented in a simple manner, making it enjoyable for kids. Even toddlers will enjoy looking through them. The kids thoroughly enjoy knowing how to identify reptiles and knowing something about them, even if they don't see them outside.

Good, elementary guide to slithery things
I love these guides. They are perfect for younger children who can't handle a lot of detailed prose. The sketches are charming, yet accurate. The information is geared to what a child might want to know, yet it is complete and it doesn't talk down to children. I'm not sure why they included salamanders (amphibians) along with snakes and lizards (reptiles), except for the fact that they're all long with pointy noses, but that's my only complaint.

Good book
These are simple books to keep at Grandmas house to peak the interest of the little ones looking for something to read. We need to encourage young adventurer to get outdoors and explore.

Excellent series!
This is a good series of books. I started with the book on birds and soon realized we needed more. And several of my grandchildren decided them wanted them as well. I have ordered many of them and never been disappointed.
