I had been using a trap type and swapped to these. These zapper are amazing and significantly outperform the trap type. I bought more to place at the extents of my 2/3 acre yard. We have few insects pestering us as we sit on our patio. Awesome Awesome Awesome.

Hanging death for bugs. Just what I wanted. Something to make it comfortable to be outside without those pesky mosquitos. You know it's working audibly and visually. Once they enter this house of hanging death, they ride the lightning every time. Even takes out the bigger ones with a sustained cycle of enforcement. Buy with confidence, this bad boy has a photo sensor that turns the unit on and off as the "witching hours" approach with sunset. Excellent product, gonna buy some more for our neighbors so that we can peacefully enjoy the outdoors at night.3/24/23 Update: Like the 1 million funerals this device performed, it died too after 6 mos.. However, I contacted the seller and they honored the warranty and sent me a new one lickity split. I'm back in business riding the lightning just in time for monsoon season! Still happy with the purchase.

I was asked by the company to review this item. However, I am happy to report that it has been great! We got this for our garage so we could cut down on bugs (and by extension, spiders and webs). We live in the woods so bugs have been a big problem and this bug zapper did the trick! We have hung it up in the garage and it's not so heavy that I have any fears of it falling. Since it only turns on after dark, it is easy to forget that it is even there, unless we go out to the garage after dark. If we do go out after dark and the garage door is open, the UV light creates a bright glow to attract the bugs to it. All in all we are very happy with the purchase!

I loved, loved, loved this zapper because of the on/off/auto function and how light weight it is and because most importantly it zaps everything. I use it in my kitchen by the backdoor because my backyard is a mosquito magnet. As soon as the door opens OMG here they come but this zapper took care of them and the flies that dared to venture in as well. Sadly only a year later my zapper died, can't change the bulb or anything. I'm very disappointed because I made sure I cleaned it and it was stored properly for use this summer. We are in the beginning of August and Mosquitoes are ever so relentless. I am very disappointed this was by far one of the better zappers I've purchased over the years...I thought.

Is there a way to replace the bulb? The product is still within the warranty I would like either to replace the bulb or the whole unit. In the meantime I have purchased another one.Please get back to me.Thank you.

After using about a month, I am very impressed with this zapper. Out of the box and set up in 5 minutes or less.We live in Coastal Alabama where mosquitoes sound like hummingbirds. With unusually high rainfall this year, its hard to walk outside due to being attacked by mosquitoes. This unit has made a big dent in the population in my yard. Very powerful and makes turns insects into dust. Light sensor works great and the catch tray cleans easy. Ordering a couple more as gifts for my neighbors.

So I have another bug zapper thet is 40w. Only difference is how loud the pop is and how far it spreads all those bug guts!! So I live out in the country and my back sliding glass door is usually where we let the dogs out, grill, etc...Well because of the light on in the house th bugs swarmed that glass door so My 40w bug zapper was actually used indoors. Decided to try a experiment. 1hr prior to going outside through that door at night, I would turn on this bug zapper on a bird feeder pole about 20' from the back porch. I'm so happy to report turning that thing on a hour before with all other light sources eliminated(turn off inside lights or close blinds), it was night and day difference in the amount of bugs at the door, that got in when we opened it, and grilling outside where you got to go in and out, plus being outside cooking. Think I may get two more. One by the garage and front porch now. FYI if you use it outdoors just remove the bottom collection tray and throw it away. If you try to use this outdoors with that bug tray will fill up in no time. It doesn't give that big pop, but it still kills the bugs. If anything that better because bugs don't explode as far and it is less noisy. I have had mine for about a month and it stays outside exposed to the elements. It works flawlessly everytime I turn it on.

I searched many bug zappers before I purchased this one. To my disappointment, it has burned out with no replacement for element feature so I continue to use. Worked well for a while, but then it stopped. Lasted less than 1 year. Will not buy again.Update: after I posted this review, the seller contacted me and offered to send me a replacement bug zapper. I was pleasantly surprised by this, as I bought this in 2022. Got it today, it works, and I thank the seller for the excellent customer service. No matter how long this lasts this time, I thank the seller for standing by their product and making a bad situation right. This is a really good bug zapper, kills a lot of bugs, no problems with that. A happy customer. Thank you!

UPDATE - After leaving this review the seller reached out and shipped me a new unit right away. It works perfectly and has made using our backyard much more pleasant!I was so excited to receive this product because mosquitoes have made our backyard unusable this year. Plugged it in, switched it on, nothing happened. Have tried multiple outlets and nothing. It doesn't turn on. Very disappointed.

I ordered two different units one was just a few more dollars. This unit nothing I could do to get it on and it is extremely cheaply made.The other unit I purchased looks like a box shape type it's metal much more durable sold here on Amazon perfectly working and even came with a set 2 of replacement bulbs and zapped a fly within 5 minutes of being plugged in. I think that this unit for sale is Hot Garbage and not worth 15.00 cheap plastic and broken out of the box 👎
