This book is a great asset for anyone teaching beginning English. Students of all ages love it. In addition to being a topical dictionary, it suggests many types of activities that can be done in any ESL setting.

Pages and entries are clear and ordered by category. The vocabulary is enough to cover almost everything in common conversation and a good foundation with around 1500 words in the book. I have this series in several languages.

All picture dictionaries are perfect to use with my adult students. They find the books so useful in class that many order them for use at home. My only wish is that soon there will be a Burmese-English Picture Dictionary; these are greatly needed.

The illustrations are great. I enjoy flicking through it now and then to learn new french words. Information is clear and visuals are engaging.
