A scholarly book for anyone who wants some serious reference material on Romans. This is not a devotional work but one intended fort use by serious students of God's Word. would be useful for anyone studying at a theological college, for ministers or just those who like to study God's Word at a deeper level.

D.Moo has an excellent way of examing the text and interacting with the theological world. Whilst you may not always agree with the conclusions he reaches his arguements are thoughtful and faithful to the Biblical text. An excellent guide for Pastor's in sermon material gathering, and for students a great indepth guide to Romans.

Moo gives us the deep mechanics of Paul's writing while also helping us to apply the text into sermonic themes. Moo gives a great balance of historical and modern-day context without negotiating the meaning of the original text. He is unafraid to remain undecided on texts that are ambiguous, and is unapologetic when it comes to texts that clearly speak of an uncomfortable teaching. An overall joyful experience to read!

This work is so vast and so deep I don't expect to ever be finished reading it. I value it highly as a clearly written reference that even-handedly covers many different points of view.
