Review: The best sequel since part 2.........and it's scream 5.....not just scream. - ok....at some point this ridiculous choice of filmmakers to drop the numbers from various direct sequels should stop. it's idiotic and confusing. in this case the title says scream but it's not scream. the film scream aired in 1996 not in 2022. the new scream we review here is scream no 5 aka scream V if u prefer. not just scream. have mercy..... anyhow..........needles to say if u liked the scream franchise so far u will adore part 5. it's the best entry after part 2. it's even better than parts 3 and 4 by a margin. not gonna spoil anything but u have to buy this dvd for your scream collection. i will say only this. only the fact that we get the original cast back is reason enough to buy this movie but the movie is also great with many flashbacks and links to the first entry which is the best in the series. so thumps up and can't wait for the already greenlighted scream 6 to hit theaters next year. This latest addition to the Scream franchise was a big improvement on number 4. There are strong links back to the first movie, which will always be the best and it was great to see some of the original cast back for more bloodshed. As you would expect from a Scream movie it is all very meta with nods to similar films that are a continuation of old stories, bringing back classic cast members to mix with the new and it was a decent tribute or attempt to recreate what made the first one so special, or even the first two in my opinion which were both superb nodding winks to the classic cliches of these types of horror movie. However, this does still lag behind somewhat. The characters just were not as eccentric, bonkers or memorable as the first couple of movies that had laughs, jumps and scares in equal measure. Plus, I was really distracted by Courtney Cox's mouth, what has gone wrong there while under the surgeon's knife? Scream and Scream 2 will remain two horror classics, the rest, although valiant attempts, will always sadly fall short.

Oh Dear Dear
Oh what a shame, the makers of Scream 2022 have completely ruined a fantastic franchise of the 4 original movies. Bad cast, bad acting, ridiculous storyline, filled with mistakes, poor continuity, and no great funny one liners that Scream is famous for. Just a cheesy B movie type horror. I rewatched the 4 original movies before watching this on 4k, I was so looking forward to it, what a disappointment, for me, true Scream fans should avoid this, it will make you angry after watching it, it did me. 4k was good though.
