Unbelievable True Stories…
This book of true stories from History, War, Science, Urban Legends and so much more was so cool! It’s a great way for everyone in the family to learn something new. Whether you read them as bedtime stories together, let the older children read them (some adult humor in it, younger children won’t get) or as an adult you just want to enjoy, it won’t matter, you will be glad you read them!

Fun and informational true stories from history
This book is full of 32 easy to read short stories. You will learn interesting pieces of forgotten history, such as the details about the professional leech gatherers or sewer treasure hunters, or the idea of building a decoy Paris during WWI. There are also one-off entertaining stories about a flight attendant who fell 6 miles out of a plane and survived, Harry Houdini, and Bruce Lee’s son. All the stories are entertaining, and can be read in any order. It is PG-13.Would make a great gift for a teenager who you want to encourage to read and instill a love of learning. Would also make a great coffee table or bathroom book.

Light, fun read! Sometimes light on details.
I enjoyed the book overall! It was a fun, breezy read that took all of four hours to read in its entirety. I appreciated the author’s wordplay and humor even as I groaned at some of the puns.If I had one critique, it’s that the author speaks in generalities in some chapters where more specific information would add greater richness to the story. That left me at times feeling like I was getting a bare-bones summary rather than a clear discussion of the strange, hard-to-believe topic at hand. As a trained researcher myself, I appreciated that the author gave his research citations so readers could decide for themselves. All in all, I had fun!I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Great Conversation Starters
If you have been avoiding parties and get-togethers because you are out of practice with the "small talk" thing - fear no more! Read the Epic Book of Unbelievable True Stories and you will not be at a loss for conversation starters. This fun and entertaining book is written in an easy laid-back style and will provide enough amusing (and true!) anecdotes to get you through any type of gathering. Even things you thought you knew, about the great Houdini for example, will have a new and interesting twist. Read and enjoy.

Read and enjoy
It's a fantastic creation of fantastic short stories. It made me laugh aloud at times just reading it because I like the humour in some short pieces. This book is vital for young students, in my opinion, because it provides a lot of enjoyable and informative stories with facts that inspire kids to read. There are images for each event that are uncoloured to colour them in if you want to. In any case, if you're looking for some bedtime stories or something to do with your kids, this book is for you.

Short Stories written well, informative & a fun read.
Short Stories written well, informative & a fun read. Seems to be written so kids could also understand, but has interesting stories. I would compare this to the Bathroom Reader style of writing, but just a little more written towards a younger group.Glad to have read it.

Interesting true stories
This book is a series of unbelievable but true brief stories. What first appears to be, if not impossible, at least improbable, is explained. Sometimes the situation is humorous, but all of the stories are interesting.31

too short but in a nice way
It’s a contradictory headline I know but I didn’t want anyone reading it to perceive it as a complaint. It’s a quirky little book. I like the way it’s been presented. I did know of some of them actually because I’d read them elsewhere or had heard the news item concerning them. I knew about the visit to the queen from a complete stranger and the dance of death as well as others. I borrowed this book but I reckon that, somehow come hell, high water and a suitable bribe to my bank manager i must have this book if only for its quirky style and yet it is informative. I did know about teddy bears but not the possum though it doesn’t surprise me. Good luck with further volumes if there are to be any, in this series.
